Best greatsword for each element?
So, I just unlocked Master Rank and by now I have the Gnashing Flammenzhan for fire (wil upgrade to Lohenzhan when able), Jagras Hacker III for water (will upgrade to Jagras Deathclaw II when able), Lightning Punisher for thunder (will upgrade to Severing Bolt when able), Giant Jawblade II for ice (will upgrade to Winged Seraphyd when able), and Hazad ♥♥♥ for dragon (will upgrade to Don Monstro).

I heard that Wyvern Ignition "Impact" is the best for fire for example, yet I cant get it until the event appears again, so, are this the best without counting the event ones? and counting with the event ones, whats the best for each element?

Greatsword is for raw damage, not Element. If you're doing Alatreon, get Silver Rathalos GS, if Alatreon's element is ice, or Glacial Demon if Alatreon's element is fire and Fire Attack Boost 6 for fire GS and Ice Boost 6 for Ice GS. Also recommended to have Frostcraft. And hit the front arms for more damage to increase the chance to meet the DPS check, other than that you don't need elemental GS.

Jagras GS is decent for early MR. I think the next upgrade is Acid Glavenus (but jagras works fine for the whole story). After that, Lightbreak, and finally the Fatalis GS.

Or craft every element GS, just because, and waste a bunch more time putting together sub optimal sets using weapons you grinded to craft for no logical reason. You'll end up spending more time with the story that could have been better invested in post game content obtaining actual sets you're less likely to easily replace.

These are your options, better results for less effort, or more effort for less results. Take your pick. Considering the grind in this game, there isn't much of a reason to waste too much time getting through the storyline content. You'll be grinding for stuff in the story that's going to be quickly replaced later on.

The point of any game is to have fun other than that it's pointless, what's the point in rushing to the meta just so you can kill x,y and z faster? Rush to Fatalis just so you can get the meta set and then stop playing because there's nothing else to do? You're talking about the game as if it's a business investment "Work harder for nothing or work less for"... nothing, it's a game. He said he didn't care about getting the meta, he just wanted the element GS for each element.

This is such a bad way of thinking. The best greatsword players will use other weapons unless they are going for speed runs. Fish greatsword? Cool, lets use it. Kirin? Why not, looks cool. Not everything is always about optimization for good players. The really good players use all sorts of sub optimal crap all the time.

Kjarr are probably the best for element. Though as people have said Greatsword is not a weapon that scales well with element (element only ends up doing like 1% of your damage or something).
