Master Rank Layered armor

So to get layered armor you need to beat the tempered version in the guiding lands?
I am trying to get the Savage Deviljho Layered armor, is that available?

Yep, you'll need yourself some 'Spattered Hide' (amongst other items).

Which, come to think of it, is one of, if not the only, Tempered Guiding Lands material that doesn't have 'Temper' in the name.

Yes both alpha and beta are layered and you need Spattered hides which are the tempered GL drops, also all master rank layered were in the crafting menu as soon as I started after the update so you dont need to fight fatty to unlock them

thats because in the older games the spattered hide was savage's normal drops, but since in iceborne normal jho isnt in MR they just gave savage old jho's drops and gave savage's old drops to the GL
