Is it possible to solo Safi?

I stopped playing for a while around the time that Safi'jiva was released, so I'm a little behind the curve. But I was just wondering if it's feasibly possible to solo it? I have ♥♥♥♥♥♥ inconsistent internet so I don't want to even bother trying to do it multiplayer. But I'm assuming it's like the behemoth fight with the agro and all that, so it's most likely possible but insanely difficult to do. But I just wanted to hear your guy's take on it.

i'm gonna say yes and no Safi''Jiiva is solo-able but not in a sense that you would solo farm him for his gear/weapon

you can keep trying but it's not very efficient

there's video of soloing him on youtube and few thing in common is they using either LBG/HBG

and it's a Safi armor and weapon that means to solo safi you need to slay him enough time to get his gear

and purpose of solo safi isn't for farming but more like for flexing

aside from specific set of gear/weapon they also running very advanced strategy for soloing him and player need to be skilled enough with to do so they don't screw up

he's similar to behemoth in a sense that they are very difficult but safi has a ton of aoe attack you need to watch out,constant dps check so he doesn't leave area and time limit of 20 minutes

but honestly if you're on pc and you don't really care either just installed mod that make him scale hp to 1 player or straight up shop mod and buy everything

but if you're not looking to cheat well good luck

despite it looks safi is very complex monster with a lot of mechanics that not really visible on screen (which i'm not gonna go into look up reddit thread safi jiiva datamining if you're interested)

You mean full energy kill ? If u are asking about this , Pc version lack horizon zero Dawn LBG that is used to bypass phase 1 in solo . So it’s hard to solo full energy safi in pc .

If you are asking about farming solo . Just use sticky and break both wings , back and head twice ( you can do it solo ) , equip your Palico with plunterblade and meld materials in elder melder .

But you can easily solo safi if you completely drain his first two floor energy with multiple runs .

So my advice is that
- First run , use Sticky LBG , HBG and break 2 wings , back and head twice . Let him go . Palico should use Plunterblade
- Second run , if you are planning to cut his tail , use LS and aim tail . With Palico shield to attract . But if you don’t plan to cut tail . Use water ammo , safi Aquashot to deal as much damage as possible to drain his energy as much as possible .
- Third run , use Water ammo to pass area 1 and 2 . If u wanna break the chest , switch to bow or GS in last phase . But quickly go back and charge to water LBG after chest broken . If you just plan to kill him .. just use water ammo and done .

If u plan to cut tail and break chest , depending on ur skill and build . Require additional run . If u just plan to kill and spam water ammo . Fight will over in 3rd run . The more you break parts , the more rewards and bonus materials for you . So if u are planning to farm him , try breaking things .

it's possible, just very tedious.
unless you want to do full energy run but be ready to do 1K attempts before killing him.
