Odogaron

Sup! So far, i did not really have any issues with the Monsters Difficulty as they all had easy tells / phases / rage

I've reached Odogaron and at first, i simply observed to understand his Moveset.
However i might be blind, but its almost impossible for me to tell the difference in his moveset.
What adds to the issue is that he is insanely quick and i am using a Longsword

I tried to let him tire himself out to go all in when he recovers, but he has some weird counter Attack that oneshots me (Fully maxxed Anjanath Armor) whenever you break any part of him

Any Tips on how to deal with a fast monster when using slow weapons?

As previously mentioned, traps are a fantastic way of dealing with very quick monsters. If you're not maxing out HP at the start of a quest, I'd very much advise you do so. More HP is often the best buffer against damage (Mega Nutrients, Max Potions or Ancient Potions are what you'd want. Not necessarily cheap to make, but not overly difficult to get the materials).

One other thing that may help: Odogaron is really weak to paralysis. In the area between the central camp and Odogaron's nest, there's two paratoads you can use to your advantage; and Girros in other areas that will attack the Odogaron if you knock it down while they're nearby and they may paralyse it too.

A last thing that's less about the fight and just something that may be helpful: make Farcasters and set them to your radial menu for quick use. If a situation is turning dire, a quick getaway to resupply and recover can make or break a quest.
