White Fatalis was the only currently living survivor of the first war that reduced human to its primitive state we see today. Back then, he had been the black one but now he was old.

Fatalis fights in the old games were pretty insipid. The most frightening thing it can do is fly up and spit big fireballs at you, just like Los, but this is no longer information you can reliably extrapolate on, since they overhaul everything and gave Alatreon high concentration of attacks plus wipe mechanics, I'm pretty sure they will do the same to Fatalis. It's the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ final send off. You'll note that they barely reveal anything about Fatalis aside from the stage. Note their expression too when they said Fatalis is the apex monster. They SMIRKED. They meant business.
Uhhhh... Your lore is 100% wrong. White Fatalis are extremely old fatalis. Nothing about them surviving any war.
During the great war that ended the ancient civilization, Fatalis was considered the "perfect enemy to humanity" and would wear human bones and skin as armor in response to how humans did so with monster parts. So great was its hatred for the humans who killed dragons indiscriminately. The war absolutely happened, and Fatalis was a major player in that war; there is documented lore about it.

Whether or not White Fatalis is the actual individual in the lore or simply a really old Fatalis, that part is left to fan theory.

Was it White Fatalis that could do that attack which obliterated you from existence if it hit? There was no cart, there was no death, you were just...gone. Screen turns white, then when it fades back in you're not there anymore, lol.

I hope there's cool stuff like that with this Fatalis we have to fight, although I imagine it'll be standard "Whoops! I tripped!" carting, as usual.

Fatalis ultimate move will be so strong it will turn back time before you departing the quest

That was Zenith white Fatalis from Monster Hunter Frontier Z. It just deletes you, instantly failing with quest.

Zenith / Frontier stuff in general seems way cooler than anything in World, lol. I hope Monster Hunter 6 is more like that.

When I found out that Frontier has an IP blocker so only Japanese people can play, I was so disappointed in Capcom. It's like, ok, fine, you don't wanna put in the effort to port the game to the rest of the world. Whatever. But to actively block people from playing? What a ♥♥♥♥ move. I can speak Japanese, so I'd have no problem playing that game. ;_;

Yeah that sounds pretty awful, I think it was the same with that Dragons Dogma MMO...I don't really like MMOs but I would have been interested in playing that, but alas.

Well, Monster Hunter World has both been the best selling Monster Hunter title and I believe Capcoms most sold title as well, so I get the feeling they won't be putting any more IP blocks on future games, lol. I just hope they ramp up the action a little bit with more Frontier type things, difficult monsters and so on. World is kinda slooooooow in a lot of ways, with a little too much emphasis on realism instead of fun.

i'll tell you a secret when i'm watching the dev's diary at the end when they're showing off screenshots from the game i was hoping there would be at least 5 seconds teaser for next expansion, because in the video they always saying "the last free update title" so it got my hopes up for another expansion eventhough i know it there won't be any.

Wasn't that whole war thing rectonned or wasn't even canon in the first place?

It was in the art books for MH2 and ties into the ruins that are found in MH2. I haven't heard one way or the other if it was actually written out of the story since then, but at the time it was canon.

With the base model for Fatalis added I'm sure some modder will manage to overtune Fatalis and either mute its colors or actually make a custom skin for White Fatalis and even Crimson Fatalis. After seeing some of the custom monsters it's certainly possible.

You're all wrong. The Fatalis we're fighting is a White Fatalis, but Tempered. The tempering process turned him black, which unfortunately made him look like a basic Fatalis, but I can assure you it's all a facade.

That also explains why the General looks black, he's actually just an Arch-Tempered Admiral.

basically...Fatalis evolution
Fatalis>Crimson> White fatalis

back in MHFU, I hunt fatalis looks normal
but in Crimson fatalis horn was destroyed (means he evolved) moving to white fatalis a small cutscene I saw his horns still destroyed means its evolving

just my opinion but its true what I saw back in MHFU

A Crimson Fatalis is a Fatalis that spent a lot of time in a volcano area not one that evolved and got stronger like a Pokemon. It is stronger but not in that way, a White Fatalis as far as we know is just an older normal Fatalis.

The problem with Fatalis (and black dragons in general) is up until very recently they were on lock down when it came to essentially showing them off, no promotional material or merchandise which means we got very little extended lore when it came to them. There simply just isn't a lot of information about them.
