Still only Online play?
When I played this game last time (at launch) I couldn't play it that much because it required constant online play (even if you played offline for some reason it wouldn't save your character).
IDC about online play that much (Co-OP), since all the people that i used to play with stopped.
I really dislike when a game requires me to be constantly online (singleplayer obviously).
Just short answer pls. Yes or No. Thank you so much :ghlol: :steamhappy:

You can enjoy the game offline without an internet connection and the only thing you'll miss out on are the event quests.

The game has never had server side saving during it's lifespan.
I've been playing since the game launched on PC and this has never been a feature. Save files were always stored locally.
Your savefile is stored locally and the game will overwrite this file even when youre offline. You can progress through the game completely offline.

you can play offline. you just default to going online. as for the game no saving your character while offline it sounds like a problem on your end.

It never required online. It not saving is a bug unique to you.

can confirm, if you had problem saving, your steam settings, or local machine settings is to blame.

online is not mandatory.

Fun fact: It never has been required internet connection to play World. You can pretty much solo the game. But if you play offline you'll not recive the bonus items that Capcom gives you for playing, so I recommend to just create a lobby just for you, yolo. Once you get used to it, you can play with randoms on some hunts.

Thank you for answering.
It looks like it's still the same. It requires connection for the first time and after that it doesn't.
They had a bad launch so when you played offline it wouldn't save character because it was still server side saves. And Online was terrible at that time, since there were around 130k people trying to connect to servers.
The only reason i stopped playing was because i couldn't connect to server to play with friends.
Right now I just want offline, since I'll be playing solo.
Thank you good people of the interwebs :)

Yeah, bonuses for connecting each day from Capcom. They aren't really that big of a deal to me. :/
Thank you for answering my question though. :)

U aren't able to pause the game while in a quest or even when u ain't in one either. It doesn't matter if you're online or offline.

Server issues do not mean the game had server side saving.

Those are not even REMOTELY the same thing.

Interesting that he picked your reply as the answer when your second paragraph directly contradicts his "NUH UH!" reply to me.

no online = no cool event reward. Yes you can play online just create a session and set it to private then no one can join. you never had to play with people. I only play online for the event.
cruste Sep 27, 2020 @ 12:07am
the game can be played offline, savefiles are stored on your hdd, but you have no access to event quest, while being offline in vanilla version, which means literally all late game content is blocked.

The safari cat lvl is also reduced during offline mode so you get less rewards from them and you get no daily login bonus. it shrinks from 1200 to 800.

enjoy modders who already solved the issue for pc community.
