Is Attack gem that hard to get?

I have heard a lot of complaints about attack gem drop rate. Just got my 5th today doing tier 2 inv, I also got 2 from last week from melder.

I put 400hrs in the game, I have almost every decoration, now I just need 1 guard deco and my 3rd artillery. I also got all KT weapons days ago. Maybe I farm the right way, or am I just lucky?

They are hard to get and very overrated.. You can do fine with 1 or tow if you swipe som armor prices or charm.

They make you wonder if you're playing the game right sometimes. I'm up to my eyeballs in bow related rare decorations but anything else like for my defense builds I sit there and grumble at the screen.

Dude that's insaneee. I only got 2 attack gems. I got one from a tempered Teostra. I also got 4 critical boost gems. 3 of which dropped from rathalos and 1 from Anjanath. Rathalos always drops the best decos I swear. One time I was playing a capture azure rathalos quest and I got 2 rathalos gems and 2 hero streams. He's definitely the monster you wanna farm for imo if you wanna get good drops. Even though it's all rng.

Just shy of 900 hours here and I literally dropped my 5th attack jewel like an hour ago on a Tempered Odogaron. Fought KT almost everyday when she was available and I'm still missing the R8 Thunder Lance and almost didn't get the R7 Bomber Gunlance.

Drops have nothing to do with being able to farm correctly, it all comes down to luck. I for example still didn't drop a single Marathon Runner jewel to this day.

Last time i checked people used to go on Reddit for brag posts about how lucky they are.
P.S. There is no farming the "right" way there's just luck.

They're rare in that they only come from Worn and Warped feystones. Said stones are a bother to get at times since the only way to get them is from a tempered monster investigation, mainly threat level 2 and 3 hunts. And even then, the Worn, and probably Warped as well, feystones also pull from the Mysterious and Glowing feystone pools so "Oh look, yet another Meowster gem..." is the norm.

There's actually way better gems out there than Attack gems, but for whatever reason they're the most wanted and thus generally the rarest.

I got lucky in the I got my second Attack gem from a Rathian. There's like a less than 3% chance of getting worn feystones from a threat level 1 monster like that, never mind the chance of it actually being an Attack one.
With just under 400 hours in the game, I wasn't actually looking for it, but I'm happy I have it. You'e been blessed by RNG to get what you have. Now if you excuse me, I have some crit boosting gems to farm for.

They come from all types of stones, those are simply the highest chance to get them.
