Plunderblade problem

ok hi well i did the quest bowels of the rotten vale a long long time again, problem is i never got the plunderblade,
i have recently been back to vale, been to the plundercats hideout, but cant seen to get it, tried to reinact the quest with the meat and the monster it dosnt work , funny thing is i can see the little palico high up on a slope with the plunderblade near the other palicos but i cant reach him or interact with him, help is there any way to still get this i heard its the best palico tool in the game

Probably you used some sort of mod/cheat that broke your save file. Try to find an save file editor to mitigate the problem. Or else, you didn't do the quest the right way? Did you talk with the researcher on the Vale? The Odogaron did bring the carcass?

yes i think i did , and have only cosmetic mods, could that have screwed it up damm on well guess im b uggered then

You need to place raw meat on the cat's hideout so you can lure them.

It could be this.

I remember how hard it was for me to figure out, because I didn't actually know that when you use raw meat it places it on the ground as a form of lure.

im unable to place any meat inside the hideout the icon is crossed out , very frustrating i can see the palico with the blade but cant lure him down

The Lynian Researcher in the Rotten Vale asks the Hunter to find traces of Grimalkynes.

Encounter Trigger: Talk with Lynian Researcher in sector 13 (Odogaron nest)

Then wait at Sector 13 until the Odogaron bring back a dead Legiana a Plunderer will appear and flee when approached. Follow it until arriving in sector 15, go between the 2 shining ponds and look around for the Grimalkyne.

Your Palico will tell you that it's looking for food so put some Raw Meat on the ground and back up a little until the Plunderer comes down.

Rewards: Plunderers and Girros Tailraiders, Plunderblade gadget

the cat on the slope with the plunderblade is part of icebornes photo safari

to unlock plunderblade
you need the lynian researcher and ordogaron on the map as already discribed by lightwood.
the quest starts from ordos lair, there is the trigger. if the felyne doesn't appear in the lair you have no chance to lure it later on in area 15

no you just missed a quest trigger, because the quest is not easy to follow. just go through each step using a walkthrough and you will figure out what you missed.

ok i give up the quest is marked as completed a long time ago , i must have forgotton to pick up or due to a gitch never got the plunderblade.
I have tried about 20 times to retrigger it and it just wont trigger probably because its marked as completed, guess thats it no plunderblade for me,
wonder if i joined a newbie on the quest would i get another chance?

OK someone give me the Dumbass award of the year, i thought it was a weapon you equiped like a sword etc,
I watched a vid on u tube and realised you click on the viq wasp to change it and there it was
had it all the time, sorry guys 350 odd hours and the penny just dropped,
im going to hid in a corner for a while
