How to lower CPU usage?

It's like I'm mining bitcoin whenever I run MHW, but I don't see what part of the game is using up to 100% on a Ryzen 5 2600.

Z-Prepass.Try turning it off in the display setting. That alone made the game hog all of the CPU in my system.

Jokes aside, for me, no setting ever changed the CPU usage. It's always around 70-90% with any setting. About same for GPU usage, with the exception of texture quality.
Also, when on 100% does the game stutter or freeze at any point? If it's not overheating or stuttering/freezing than running on max shouldn't be a real issue.

It is, depending on how many background applications are running. Never really had the same issue with any other game.

have around 30-50% in Mainmenu, goes up to 75% after Loading up a Character and staying still, hits 95% while playing, almost 100% while Steam is active.
