I think you can get the from the melder as well, by exchanging the steel tickets. Just keep trying, now is a good time for finding rare decos, since the events are up.

Figure it'd be worth mentioning that I'm pretty sure this is one of the few deco's you cannot get from Master Rank Feystones, you have to get them from High Rank ones, so ideally 'The Greatest Jagras', or 'The Name's Lavasioth'.

Unsure about melding tickets though.

very rare.

i didn't see one till knocking out untold dozens of t2/t3 tempered hunts. <- if you do this, make the kills as fast as possible. don't be fancy just go with what works.

do 'the greatest jagras' when hes back and 'the name's lavasioth' - spamming fast kills got me anything that was missing. if you get the chance, dis is da wae.

They are rare, you can only get them from worn and warped feystones (perhaps glowing, but that's a miniscule chance, best chance is warped)

The most efficient way is to grind the event quest The name's lavasioth.

If you use a rapid fire water ammo lbg you can year through him pretty quick, if you.have master rank gear, the whole quest can be just under 2 minutes (run it enough times, and you will have a lot of practice)

I did the quest over 200 times trying to get mind's eye, and I got about 12 protective polish decos along the way :)

At 727h, I do not have a Protective Polish, Guard Up, Mind's Eye/Ballistics, or a Spread Shots jewel. I just got my first Ironwall (Guard) jewel yesterday. But, I have 4 Attack Jewels and 2 Crit Eye L4 jewels. RNG is RNG within RNG on top of RNG.

Less RNG and more timing - the game gives you at least 3 Attack Jewels [main story, Pukei-Pukei sidequest, and a login reward] and one L4 Expert jewel [login reward before/during the recent Sizzling event]. Which is why I also have 4 Attack jewels and one L4 Expert.

Either way, I just got my first Capacity Up jewel recently. Could've used that 500 hours ago when I was playing CB. Still no Guard Up, but fitting in Uragaan gauntlets/greaves isn't that big an issue when I need it since they also give plenty of Guard.

Just in case anyone wasn't aware, mind's eye, guard up, protective polish, and mighty bow are.all in the same camp of being very rare, and only obtainable from worn and warped feystones (guard up and protective polish can technically come from glowing)

But none of these will drop from iceborne feystones, you can get warped rarely in the guiding lands, but the name's. Lavasioth is the best way to get them


Also, for spread power shots ect. You can get those with worn, warped, carved or sealed, and they can also drop from silver melding tickets, so hopefully RNG starts being nicer to you there :(

i think i had 30 at one point? i dont play very often. but its a favorite middle finger for the game to give the player after they've gotten the only one they ever need.

my advice, farm the event quest that drops extra whetfin+ i maybe farmed up 30 of em in that quest and i've maybe consumed 5 since then. i use them every hunt. never going back to regular whetstone.

Pretty common in iceborne and late game base MHW.

Warped feystone has the highest chance of giving you one which you can get easily from elder melder by trading in your warrior and hero streamstones from base MHW which aren't so easy to get unless you played a lot of base MHW.

Also melding tickets are good.
