since iceborne, i've peaked maybe 85 fps? but it was faaaaar worse when iceborne dropped, something like 65fps was my peak.
this is running everything maxed out and on @ 2k resolution. with the minimum drivers they recommend to use. something like 455 or 445. its whatever they suggest as the absolute minimum driver version for nvidia cards.
The elder melder thing i actually think is on purpose, i just never noticed it before. You can see the water in the jugs jump each time you press the dpad-- the game must be loading something.
Are you running HIgh Res pack? Or standard?
I don't understand how one update makes things smooth and the next one is potato. I even locked fps to 60 but it doesn't seem to do anything other than dip to 45~ when I can easily reach 100~ uncapped lol....
1-3 fps drops are related to the running key, simply spam it and you see how it drops.
The issue exist since kulve release and was never fixed so better get used to it.
It is like these Lense Flare Effects in the new Star Trek movies. The Films where ruined for me as a friend told me about it.
So here i find:
Win10 big update recently? check most the setting, specially "Game Mode"
Check any driver is up to date or true working driver, not MS default drivers.
Any preloaded game waiting?
And before that it was running like ♥♥♥♥.
And before that it didn't even launch.
And before that i had to disable windows defender to avoid it to eat all RAM when iceborne was running (only iceborne).
And before that........... :)
Nothing new :)
It seems to me that it's the issue that originated when Kulve Taroth was released for the first time only the latest patch seems to have made the issue worse somehow.
I have a high-end system myself and even when I set everything to the lowest setting, the game still stuttered. I've done some pretty extensive testing and I can confirm that it is indeed caused by the game itself and a lot of other users here on the forums confirmed my suspicion.
It is not related to Denuvo in any way as no noticeable link has been found to Denuvo when it comes to performance issues in Monster Hunter World. There's a lot of misinformation on the subject, but in general the performance impact is very minor unless youre using a lower end system. This stuttering issues started occuring after the Kulve Taroth patch and by then the game already had Denuvo for a long time. The two are not related.
I have reported the issue to Capcom and I would strongly urge everyone who is experiencing it to do the same so they can get this fixed as soon as possible.
They've also made a thread on the tech support forum about this issue so be sure to leave a comment there as well!
WOW. Seriously. it is annoying as all hell because tapping the run button for varying periods of time is one of the main things you do in this game.
Yes that's the issue I'm talking about and the latest patch seems to have made it worse and the stutter is a lot more frequent now, sometimes it does not appear to be related to running.
You can see the stutter if youre using a frametime graph. The graph cleary shows the hitch or stutter.
All we can do is report it to Capcom and hope that a fix is issued as soon as possible.
It seems that this issue affects everyone, regardless of system specifications.
