Recommendations for Decoration Farming (Iceborne)

So, without The Greatest Jagras or The Name's Lavasioth, I need a better way to obtain gems. Any methods? I'm currently in the MR bracket after the Rathian and Nightshade Paolumu hunt.

There is another event quest (I'm pretty sure it is also not available right now but it will on august 20th) called The Wrath of Thunder Descends, also really good for obtaining Lvl 4 decorations.

And if you hurry and reach the Guiding lands, you can farm fuel for the steam works, once the festivals return on august 20th you can farm the melding tickets that you can meld with the melder and get a lot of decorations.

If Wrath of Thunder Descends is up, it's your best bet for level 4 decos. If you're missing level 1-3 decos (especially stupidly rare ones like mighty bow), The Name's Lavasioth is your best bet.

Note that a small number of important decos can't come from melding tickets, including the aforementioned mighty bow.

When no event is up, your best bet for deco farming is tempered investigations. Prioritize ones with 4 or 5 reward boxes. Tier 3 investigations will reward the most high rank level 4 decos, while Tier 1 investigations are best for farming pre-iceborne decos. Tier 2 investigations will occasionally provide you with rare pre-iceborne decos and even more rarely good level 4 decos, but you'll mostly get trash-tier level 4 decos out of them.
