what is your favorite area
as the title says what is your favorite area to hunt in in
and why

mine is the rotton vale for having some of the most unique monsters in the game. (in my opinion)

The acid pools of the Rotten Vale. It's such a sharp contrast to the rest of the local that they're surprising when you first get to them. It looks so nice at first, until you notice your health chipping away when you step in the glowing water.

Wildspire waste i love how open it is and the fish pools and the falls with the little forest area it's the best map in the game imo

Any map that doesn't force me to spend 10 minutes running after that flashbang immune flying dragon only to get there and see he's mid flight to somewhere else again.

personally i found bazel more annoying on that map.

can't see him come flying out of nowhere and then the music hits
i miss bazel.

Also rotten vale but upper levels.

wildspire, because it's easy to navigate there is no much climbing (i got bored playing games that forces you to climb all the time like botw but botw is a fantastic game don't get me wrong)

wildspire simple, nice looking and good to navigate cause of no climbing

It'll always be Wildspire Waste, for me. Other than the wasted area in the middle just North of where Jyuratodus likes to hang out (all those caves you crawl around in) most of that region gets used for fighting and is fairly diverse in most areas, both in design and terrain. Also it has the most "usable" terrain alteration, whereas like the dam being broken in Ancient Forest almost never happens, Diablos usually causes that hole to appear and it's easy to use against monsters you fight, etc.

Can't explain it. I want more big arena zones like the dunes and the swampy area with the flowers, and less small zones like that area with all the spores in the Ancient Forest. Sometimes they're cool looking but so tiny they feel like a waste of potential.

Too much of the map is made up of corridors, which monsters don't fight in and you spend far too much time running through, lol. I kinda miss the old games in that respect, where the map was just a collection of largish arenas, all different from each other in some way, and big enough that the different designs could show through.

Ancient forest and Wildspire Waste, the rest is just fake looking. Guiding lands is my least favorite, i don't enjoy hunting in it at all, which sucks because it's the only endgame there is :(

I'm personally partial to the Rotten Vale. Battle theme is probably the best out of all five areas in base World. Not to mention that it also has Acidic Glavenus and Odogaron are fights I absolutely love. The Girros are probably the most useful of all the Trailraider Monsters due to their paralysis (making up for how frequently they paralyze me). The resident Elder, Val Hazaak (or Blackveil Val Hazaak in master rank) is a good fight as well. I could care less for the other residents (Radobaan and Great Girros are fine monsters, just not as notable to me). The Effuvium is annoying, but Torch Pods do a good job of lessening that annoyance.

I'll go with the Volcano, the areas to fight are cool and that's the habitat of my favorite elder dragon Lord Teo.

Ancient Forest is the worst. If you removed the upper right portion of the map it would be average. Absolute nightmare of a maze with scoutflies not knowing where they want to lead you.

I like Rotten Vale. I think it has the best default monster music and an interesting general concept (monster graveyard).

I'd probably put Hoarfrost Reach and Elder's Recess high up on the list too though in no particular order.
