Bow users in single player
Do you guys bother to tenderize? I mained bow in world but since tenderize was introduced i really struggled to do damage on bow so i switched weapons. So i was wondering how bow mains handle it in iceborne?

i didnt prioritize tenderizing over what id usually be doing on a bow but i tried to be aware of any good openings that could lead to a easy fast knock down.

i used the claw and tenderizing a bit more i found when using agitator in my build. claw n tendies are easy for enraging those ugly smelly mons

As someone with 2k on every weapon I'm suspect to call myself a bow main, but yes, I do tenderize. It helps that the animation is very quick and the land delay is short too.

But even when it's down, isn't it more damage to just attack than tenderizing it since you need to do it twice or Clutch claw x3 + attack?

No reason to tenderize when the monster is down, unless it's a rajang or another super agile monster who just won't give you time to do so. Every monster will give you plenty of time to tenderize the part you want between the attacks. When the monster is down you'll want to use dragon pierce and rain shot it's head for the stun followup.
do tenderize if you can, but if you can't, then just go pew pew pew.

i avoid bow when playing solo

surely only when monster is clagger or trips

else tenderizing is very gamble

but personally i'll do 3 claw + 1 weapon attacks over wallbang anytime as bow

keeping up tenderize is very important as bow

Only to make rocks for flinching or when its down or mantles are up. Bow can be relied on to deal decent damage regardless of tende state anyway.

i was using bow as my main weapon before iceborne release, but after MR i hate seeing my arrow getting deflect so much.

No, use full safi armor with max crit eye and you don't need to tenderize.

You do realise that tenderising increases damage as well as fully activating wex?
Even if you use crit eye and augments to get 100% affinity without tenderising you'll still do more damage on a tenderised part.
