Everyone has to deal with "the floor is glue" mechanic.
What's worse they still allow you to move ever so slightly, giving you the illusion there's something you can do. But no. It's essentially just another kind of stun.
Also, just because I can't walk from it, why does my character magically forget they have a huge effin' shield?
Theres also a feline skill that helps with terrain, i use it on Shara sometimes... wonder if that works too
Bit of a side note here; Guard Up decoration was a mistake, Guard Up should just be built into every shield.
It doesn't, guess they realized it helped against Shara.
The only thing Capcom don't skimp on is cheapness.
Not a hard fight, just pointlessly annoying.
a) High ice resistance (> +20);
b) Iceproof mantle;
c) Blight Resistance LV3;
d) Coldproof skill;
Sadly, capcom is going more into that route than creating fun yet challenging monsters. It's mostly a mini MMO Raid for every recent fight they made (you have to the exact actions they expect you to do at any time to be successful). I don't like that direction at all.
Well, Ala kinda failed for them in that regard since we can wreck him with a minimum of effort on the elemental damage check, I was thinking more of cheap gimmicks and disrupting the player in general.
That's another discussion though, I can hear the gatekeepers hurrying this way already.
Only bothered with a couple of runs on FF Barioth, and none of the first three nullify that attack, merely the ice blight. Didn't try Coldproof but I doubt it.
Like all their gimmicks, they went to the trouble of making it so you're d*mn well going to enjoy it.
Watched Canta for a few minutes doing the fight with lance. His only comment was 'miserable', but it looked quite doable.
