Best type of dragon greatsword for behemoth?

Should my greatsword be high in dragon attack or focus more on physical damage while still keeping dragon element?

GS. Always full raw. Never ever invest in element with GS. Expecially in vanilla mhw.

Doesnt matter since we are talking about GS. GS has ♥♥♥♥♥♥ element multiplers with it's attacks so you won't see as much dmg up as with pumping up just raw. Weakness of the monster doesnt matter in this case.

The tl;dr is that elemental attack is applied per hit, so weapons that attack faster get more mileage out of element. For GS, around 99% of your damage comes from physical attack.

Ok I just now actually took a close look at all the GS trees and none of them are "raw" they all have ailments or elements with it. Unless by raw you mean they have an ailment instead of element?

Raw is the base attack value. The GS with the highest base damage is going to be the one you want.

Basically just build Defender V GS. Everything else is worse. Wyvern Ignition used to be best but the maximum might nerf and negative affinity make it worse than Defender.
