Why So many Disconnects...

I have put almost 1300 hours into this game now and i get kicked from the server some days like 10 times. Steam sometimes turns off and thats why but most of the time its the servers in this game. Why the hell am i getting kicked from the server so many times. I have 300mb download speeds ik its not my interent.

Game doesn't use servers. It is P2P using steam servers. So either you are disconnecting, someone else is or steam is. Even a slight instability could dc you as the game doesn't try to reconnect.

I feel you. Disconnected myself quite a few times today. It's because the game uses P2P Steam servers, which means one little hiccup in anyone's connection could (and probably will) result in a DC.

yea this happens to me sometimes too, steam just decided to log myself out and therefore im disconnected from the game

It is extremely frustrating, especially trying to do something like the Safi siege.The worst part is it's so consistent too. I can look at pretty much any posted quest and see "Left the Quest" occupying a party member's slot. Why the hell don't they allow people to join in on quests where someone has left, especially with such horrid connection issues?! I would be dumbfounded if they didn't know this was an issue, because it's been a problem ever since release. Either they're just actively ignoring the problem, or they know about it and aren't trying to fix it.

Since when does anyone do Safi siege? I can never find a room and no one ever joins my siege.

Before the shills start, no it's not Steam fault, I've never lost connection to games that use steam servers and can listen to music while playing the game, alt-tab in full screen almost always results in a dc. I ran out of dracolite awhile ago but refuse to do the siege because I always dc.

I can usually find at least 1 page to 2 pages of people doing sieges

My group pretty much expects at least one dc with every session. Our internet isn't bad at all either, the game just isn't very keen on resolving issues without cutting the entire thing. A tragedy, but one we have to live with for now.

I had disconnection issues too. Do you all have 8GB ram? I recommend upgrading to 16GB. Once i did, the disconnection issues went away for me

It disconnects me often.
I find Borderless Windowed mode minimizes the DCs.

It still happens. Just not as bad.
