Seriously, this weapon alone gives credibility to Jyuratodus and that's saying something.

While the head and charm are optional the Gold/Silver rath combo is just too functionally great to pass up if using the Kinsect Only playstyle. This particular set is my healer build. The chest, legs, waist and arms start you off with 5X Diving Blessing and 5X Stonethrower as well as quite a lot of decoration options. I'd switched the Rocksteady mantle for the Glider mantle for when I feel like getting 2 relatively close mounts off during a monsters rage, but the mantles really aren't needed seeing as how it's rare you're hit anyway. The perfect Palico tool with this is definitely the Shieldspire as the Shieldspire Stooge makes for an amazing decoy for free DPS.
As far as the early sets go, you honestly don't need anything other than something that feels comfortable to play in. The only skills that effect the Kinsect are Stonethrower (for more red ammo) and Enhancer to boost the time your Kinsect stays powered up. Destroyer works well as the Kinsect is quite precise when you get the hang of it. KO is also optional if you're using a Blunt Kinsect. Other than that every other skill can be purely defensive and QoL as there are no skills that actually effect the Kinsects damage. It's advised you make each element of a preferred Kinsect so you can switch them depending on the targets weakness.
If you play multiplayer, the glaives you have are good. I would suggest getting an ice glaive. The ice tree is a pretty good one going into MR. I believe it initially uses Legiana, but it'll become a Barrioth glaive (with the option to go FF Barrioth). Otherwise, once you get to MR, you can go straight into the Beotodus ice glaive. There's not really any good dragon glaives until you get to the end of MR, I would say. I went for Deviljho and then the MR upgrade was Savage Deviljho. If the monster you're fighting is weak to dragon, probably just go with your raw set...
But idk, you can do whatever is fun for you. They say don't play aerial glaive, but that's what I do because it's fun. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I hope capcom introduces more armor sets soon everyone running masters touch is getting so dry. This type of game is great for customizing and experimenting but no one does that they all just run masters touch.
