Bombardier when using sticky and gunlance (I can't remember if impact cb benefits or not)
for harder fights, I'll eat for moxie, if I'm carrying someone, I'll eat safeguard to give some leeway.
But that's just the skill, if I'm fighting kulve I'll get those skills with veggies, for most things I'll use meat
Just make sure you NEVER eat fish, it's never worth it, by the end of the game, you have over 1000 defense, and a full fish platter will add 15...
Meanwhile, that veggie platter reduces elemental damage by 15% and that meat platter adds 15 true raw, where most endgame weapons have around 300. The fish platters are simply not noticible, you will notice the damage, and the elemental resistence though :)
What build do you run? What weapon? (I'm assuming your wondering what you should be eating ;D)
Not really wondering. I have already weighed that the health/stam big boosts arent worth it since you can just use consumables.
I find myself defaulting to veggie platter because that ele defense is just toooooooo good.
Safeguard for Alatreon.
Cleats for Shara.
I have a bunch more but can't remember them all.
Sharpshooter for Normal2 LBG/HBG
Slugger for HH
Moxie/Safeguard for hard fight
Answer easy SOS just attack up large.
Will pop a Gourmet voucher mid-hunt if people have carted and there's only one faint left, and then I'll eat for Safeguard. Ate for Moxie like, once or twice, when fighting AT Nergigante, too. Ate a couple of Zoomasters when hunting for Moly in the Grinding Lands, but other than that, nope. My meal history isn't noteworthy.
I was using Moxie too for a hard fight, but it just doesn't seem to ever activate, either that or I don't get how this skill works.
As for bonuses, Atk L most of the time because Def L is still pretty bad last I checked and as they say, the best defense is a good offense, such as the kind that's inclined to flinch / KO a monster faster, or otherwise, Res L against something for which that's appropriate.
If I were to name monsters for which Res L would be appropriate, the likes of Kirin and Lunastra are at the top of the list, MR Teo might apply for that too with his new fire tricks.
