Plunderblade help

I'm cleaning up some older quests. I just unlocked the coral symphony, but I can't seem to find the grimalkyne in the rotten vale. Eurogamer guide says to go to area 13 in an expedition and it will be there, but I've found nothing. I've looked on both low and high rank expeditions. Am I missing something?

you have to wait there a while for an odogaron to show up with a legiana corpse. just throw in a ghillie mantle, stand off to the side, and go do something else while listening for activity.

Yeah. The only ones I don't have are plunderblade, meowlotov, and tailraider signal.

Alright I'll try that. Thanks. I understand the appeal of why the game itself wouldn't spell everything out, but I wish the guides were more detailed.

if I am remembering correctly the process is this.

Step 1) Have raw meat in your inventory

Step 2) go into the vale while a Lynian researcher is present

Step 3) talk to the researcher then make your way to the top part of the effluvial area and wait for a legiana corpse to drop and be carried away by Odogaron

Step 4) Wait for Odo to leave his nest and then make your way there. you will see a cat in the nest who will run away when you approach.

Step 5) make your way to the plunderer map marker in area 15. once there you will see the cat who will once again run away when you approach.

Step 6) Drop a piece of Raw meat where the cat was before it ran away and then go hide in a corner for a bit and wait for the plunderers to show up.

Step 7) Your cat will say something along the lines of "lets go talk to them now" and you can then go talk to them and befriend the plunderers.
