and depending on your build you can extend that I-frame with evade-window
Is that from charm?
Thats only really in ds3, in ds2 you could do about 3 rolls before running out of stamina.
You can only iFrames through a very fast attack i.e. rathalos fireballs. If the monster has a slow attacking speed or a dash, you must 'dodge away'
I made dis guide recently, check it out urself some iFrames on Alatreon =)

Feedback would be appreciated if u find any errors
Some moves are just outright undodgeable(still avoidable) with bad positioning though since no matter which direction you roll, your iframes will end inside a hitbox. For example, Great Jagras's attack where he rolls over you, it has way too long active frames, so you have to avoid it simply not touching the hitbox, instead of trying to roll through it it like Dark Souls

This video goes into detail about the i-frames among other little dodge details.
13 I-Frames? So thats why ds3 is so easy...
dark souls was never really THAT hard, it's mostly punishing. but 3 is still very close of the difficulty of the other 2, people just think it's easier because it's less clunky and because they got gud.
