Alatreon - Elemental needs for IG
a Guide by your fashion hunter again :)

I got spare time in the weekend and tested how much elemental value is needed for IG to weaken the Escaton Judgement

I tested 3 different build for Insect Glaive to see how much elemental value is needed to weaken the Escaton Judgement. All of the equipment are underdog-kinda thing, nowhere close to META.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=32VJhqDvsxA&t=14s

Here's the result :

First one is Ebony Odo full set beta with Ebony Glaive (total of 500 dragon). Tried 3 times, all failed the check.

Second one is Safi'jiiva armor full set with Alatreon Embrace (total of 750, 900 dragon with set bonus). Some attempts managed to make it, others dont. No other Raw or elemental skill is involved, aside from Crit Boost.

Third one is Namielle full set with its weapon (water 430) just like in the video. First attempt managed to make it, while the second and third didn't. Probably due to mounting on the first attempt.

None of the attempt use Critical Element

I was quiet sure at first that IG doesnt need that much elemental to pass the Escaton, since it's one of the fastest weapon. Apparently, I proved myself wrong. I'm not sure if Raw attack has any effect on weakening build up, but since GS users are having a hard time, I assume it's not. So I tested just purely elemental value, with some critical based skill good enough to slay Alatreon.

End of the day, here's the conclusion that I get:

Minimum element -

Dragon 800 or more

Dawn of the Death Star quest :
Fire 400 , Thunder 500 or more

Evening Star quest :
Ice 400, Water 400 or more

For elemental IG (depend on the quest), use either FIRE or ICE element with a minimum elemental value of 400. The higher the better, with higher chance if you use Critical Element or more elemental boosting skill. Water n Thunder need more element to guarantee the weakening. Dragon still work, but you need 750 or more to get it to work, or play a quiet aggresive playstyle. Or use Dragonproof mantle which also boost dragon element by 20%. As for the playstyle, standing still with IG is a death sentence, unless you see an opportunity. Fast hitting combo is safer and try to use blight resist againts alatreon (Or at least dragon resist skill).
Aside from that, learn more by hunting him.

Wow nice info thanks. Even if i have 840 dragon element + crit element , i failed :( But i still don't know the reason how people can pass the check with no ce dragon LS or with very low element (about 150-180). By the way i killed him at last with kjarr db. , well it took so much time so i still feel kinda sucks :)

I did it just fine with 700 dragon. You also have your kinsect and pet to help. Heck, the kinsect alone can stop escaton for you.

yea around 700 dragon is safe enough. But somehow, I sometimes failed after the first escaton. Dunno if it's due to lack of elemental damage or playstyle, but yea there are a lot of things to consider.
Oh right kinsect too, but I rarely use those so dunno much about it.
In any case, you would want your element to be the around the number up there to guarantee a safe play for solo. Since multiplay need cooperation with your teammates and all, as long as you have element weapon, you wont fail.

I was able to pass the checks with Kjarr glaives on a meta slave MT/Agi secret build. Used ice and fire, not dragon; I originally tried Kjarr Dragon but didn't pass the check.
