What gives you the right to defend cheaters?
as long as they're playing single player let them enjoy the game how they like :)
anyway OP remove all the mods you have installed, that should solve the problem for you
But the same cheaters play online, just bloody ban them.
If they do then yes, I have a problem with that.
However I wouldn't approach it as guilty until proven innocent, I find it wrong.
Idk how mods work for the game but could possibly be just a cosmetic one that changes a weapon's appearance, maybe?
And it could be a oneshot mod. You don't know. It's like defending a criminal whom admitted to committing crimes, just not stating which crimes. Would you defend those as well?
All cheaters are scumbags.
I get what you say however if the person is not harming anybody I don't see the problem.
It's not like they're breaking any laws, they maybe just are bored of trying to fight a single monster and want it easier on them.
At the end of the day this is just a game and they bought it to enjoy the experience, if they need to lower the difficulty to do so, no biggie (as long as they don't ruin the experience to other people).
Not everyone has the time to invest in learning the monsters perfectly and how to counter them so these mods can actually be somewhat helpful to them to start enjoying what they invested $60 in :)
I'm a veteran of the series and I've seen my fair share of cheaters and hackers (I've seen a guy bring down a Dalamadur in three hits with a cheated weapon once) however I also know a lot of people who mod the game for themselves and, if they want to play online, uninstall any mods beforehand (many more than the ones cheating).
Yet you don't know whether they harm people. They're a high profile risk to the community.
Cheaters are actually the reason I quit pc gaming
I think this is more a problem on your side though tha on theirs at this point.
I get it mind me, I'm not trying to be offensive towards you :)
I'm sorry you had so many bad experiences with cheaters (enough as to ruin your enjoyment of the game).
I don't find it that big of a deal if one hunt or two end too quickly due to a cheater, I can always fight another monster with another team but I see how it would ruin it for you, each has a different tolerance for things; just try not to generalize, it's not good overall
I never played mhw on pc, but in Dark Souls 3 I was softbanned due to a cheater hitting me once and somehow altering my stats, which flagged my account. There it actually ruined the game for me.
Cheaters ruin the experience of others and should be dealt with, it doesn't matter how small.
