Iceborne Assigned Quests (co op)
Hi all,

As Iceborne has been out on other platforms for a little bit, I was just wondering if anyone knows if co op teams can play assigned quests (that have cutscenes) from the start of the quest now?

One of the irritating things for me and my mate is that I have finished the main story but my friend needs to catch up. We go to play the game together sometimes and find that I have to wait half an hour or go do something else because the quest he'll be doing doesn't support multiplayer from the start or at all. It's very frustrating when that's all he has available and we want to catch him up/ play together.

I've told him things open up more later on and that it's not an issue with High Rank quests. For Iceborne, I'm hoping we can just start together and go through everything together.
In past titles the cutscenes played for all players and if you skipped it, you'd be asked to wait for other players to finish - this is much more ideal than waiting around in the hub to see when you can join the quest.

Thanks for any help.

Pretty sure it's the same poopy cutscene garbage where both players need to go into their own separate quests, see cutscene and leave to join the other. So no

Don't know why they don't do it where all can watch the same scene, I mean you all have to watch the Kulve Taroth intro scene when that one person doesn't skip.

The story is designed for single player, but has optional multiplayer

The thing is, the single player experience and multiplayer was segregated in past games, so if you wanted to go solo, you had those quests...their aim with this one was to integrate it all and have adjustable difficulty for the first time and yet there's this issue. Back in the day we could just go online and hunt worry free...

Now, we have to go over these arbitrary bumps and wait around - it breaks the flow of the experience.
