When can I buy mega potions instead of just crafting them?

I don't think that ever happens, unless I've missed something. Gathering hub shop only sells regular potions, anyway.

Go to the guy who lets you harvest stuff. Grow some herbs and honey and you're good.

don't waste your time on mega potions, they are useless, start farming materials to have infinite max potions, they are the best heal in the game, and you can bring 2 of them every quest+10 crafts, so a total of 12, trust me and do it

Mega potions are more than adequate for most situations, plus constantly popping max potions sounds incredibly wasteful. It's a better heal, sure, but it's hard to justify unless you're constantly having to heal from 10% life or something.

Actually, I have tons of hours and materials, so I can use like infinite max potions and I don't see why I should use mega potions, even if I heal that 10%, I still do it in roughly one second, so it's way better to survive.

Obviusly if someone doesn't have tons of hours and materials, then it's impossible for them to use max potions constantly as they will waste them a lot, but for someone that has (for example) 2k max potions, then there is no reason to use mega potions

considering most randoms run MAXDEEPS builds they copy pasted from some speedrunner and then get carted by literaly anything that seems a quite normal scenario

pretty much this, I run only max dps builds but I never cart, casuls always run them and spam cart and they always deal like 10% team damage

Well now you know why people should "waste their time" with mega potions.

Many players don't run max DPS builds and they cart frequently. It's crazy how your perspective changes when you put yourself in someone else's shoes for once, huh?

Why are you salty, wtf? Actually, I was talking about people carting random, not about mega potions thing.

I always play with a friend, and he bought mhw on september and I made him farm materials for max potions. Since he started using only max potions to heal, he carts way less because max potions take 1-2 seconds less to heal in EVERY scenario, even if you have to heal 10 hp and you do like "mega potion, heal then roll to stop useless heal" it still takes more time than just using a max potion.

So, this said, you shouldn't waste zenny and time on mega potions, but you should spend time on farming materials to craft max potions, as it's the best way to heal in every scenario. If you have, for example, 1 hp left and you have peak performance, you actually won't use max potion, but mega potion neither. In this case you should actually heal with health augment on weapon (if you have, but you probably have since it's mandatory on most weapons expect bow and some LBG/HBG builds)

I apologize if I came off salty. It's just that your posts had a "weird flex but ok" vibe to them lol.

But the amount of money/research points needed to harvest and/or buy mega potions is dirt cheap. It's just much more convenient than farming imo.

Yeah I know reading that again, I apologize I didn't mean to flex randomly lol.

I know it's cheap but I would still farm for max potions as it makes you insta heal and pretty much immortal if you don't get oneshot

That's such a bad take it isn't even funny. Mega Potions and Potions are perfectly adequate for average players, don't tell them it's a waste to have them when it 100% isn't a waste.
