It's really not you can do the charged jump completely just be button mashing, I do it all the time. I haven't bothered to learn any combos on it.
And just the normal attacks out DPS's the jumping anyway.
Just pick one you find cool and feel like using, then master it. Theres a training mode that allows you to play with all 14 weapon types, eventually you will probably get one that "feels right" then use it. If you and the weapon have a natural affinity then moving on to master it will be easier. Weapon difficulty depends on the person.
Mastering is different from being able to use something exceptionally well
Hence why its hard to master. You're doing it wrong.
