I just find that fix to be very weird but atleast there's a solution.
My spec is
i7-7700HQ
gtx 1050ti
8gb ram
with .36 driver version
Could be the spec or driver?
About your same FPS but going as high as 55 or so, and as low as 30 with lots of particle effects going around.
Doing anything to the nvidia inspector profile lowers FPS so I have to keep it default. I tried plenty of things but overall I'm basically forced to stick to regular fullscreen. That works for me either way.
Helped me but Capcom has a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ stance on mods.

After a lot of research and tries to fix it myself, I found the following solutions:
1) The best solution first:
Visit the Nvidia Control Panel, navigate to Display->Adjust desktop size and position. Check the box "Override the scaling mode set by games and programs" and now the important step. Monster Hunter has to be closed and you have to set it to "Aspect Ratio", then save and apply. After that set it back again to Fullscreen. Once again save and apply.
This is a reallly annoying workaround but it was the only things that worked for me. Note: You have to do that every time before you launch the game.
But there are other solutions, too, that worked for others:
2) Visit the Monster Hunter .exe. Navigate to "Compatibility" and check "Disable full-screen optimisations.
3) Check "Run this program as an administrator"
4) Run the compatibility mode for Windows 8. Surprisingly that just decreased the thickness of the borders. But it worked for others.
I am so glad to find a workaround at the very least because the fps drops could kill me sometimes. I hope this will be fixed with an update and I wish you Happy Hunting!
I tried to
launch and not click anywhere
change nvida settings about the dekstop
launch with admin rights and without optimisaiton for full screen
restarting the game doesn't ever change anything
has anyone other advice ?
i'm on a 21:9 2k screen , resolution and format are correctly assigned.
thanks
