It always take 1 year for a MH game to announce G rank , this game just barely out for 1 year ,not to mention the PC version .

"The 3DS version of Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate is known as Monster Hunter 3G in Japan.
The Wii U version is known as Monster Hunter 3G HD Version in Japan."

Also you sure you bought tri? cause tri was monster hunter with least content in entire series, it was horrible abortion that even cut out weapon types from previous generation.

Mhtri was released in japan in 2009 and the ultimate expansion which has g rank in it was released in 2011 in japan.
MHW did much better than the base version of mh tri, mh tri only had 18 large monsters while at release mhw have 30 large monsters with 4 more so far coming in as free dlc

Tri (Wii) only had HR, G Rank and a bunch of monsters were added on later releases for 3ds,WiiU.

G rank doesn't come out until a year after release usually. be patient.

I played the wii version as well.mh 3 did not have g rank in it,the one you are talking about is mh 3 ultimate which is an expansion of mh tri and was released on wii u and 3 ds, the wii version never got g rank.dont even argue with me on this one man just do a simple google search and you will see how wrong you are

no they said they were adding g rank just simply look it up its going to be something like mhx and mhxx gen dident have g rank but gen ultimate does and you can transfer saves
No, they didn't. In the interview from nearly half a year ago now, they were specifically asked about g rank. Then they proceeded to say "we have ZERO plans to Ever bring a G rank to MH world....". Then continued to talk about why and how it's simply not possible and would take way too much work as they would basically need to completely over haul the balancing of literally every single monster and piece of equipment and for a game to have G rank it needs to be built around the fact that they know they are having it. And since an ultimate version is off the table because they said instead of a new version they want to continue updating this game and adding content for a while. That Completely confirms that World is never getting a G rank, you will have to wait for World 2. Sorry.

Also, all of this is super old news, it's really odd that people still think and hope a G rank is coming when it's 100% confirmed to not be.

How would stuff like weapon augments work? Weapon trees would have to be remade or extended to accommodate the higher rarities. It doesn't look like they had G-rank in mind at all when they were desiging that feature in particular.

I wonder what are you playing, but it's not MHU3, because one of the first big monsters, on the first map, is an underwater monster:

Yeah, they definitely did not have that much faith in this game before it was released which make sense at that time. That is why they are making this game without g rank in mind so if this game fails they can just pretend it never existed or treat it like it is some spinoff like capcom did with dmc2 before they made dmc5

The exact opposite. Monster Hunter 3 is the only one with underwater combat that were later removed in 4 to give place to mount mechanics.

First is the Great Jaggi, then the Arzuros, Royak Ludroth (also water monster), Qrupeco and then the Lagriacus, which I don't remember if comes before or after the Barroth
