No-armor playthrough. Game's hard mode?

I'll say upfront this is my first Monster Hunter game, I usually consider myself a pretty casual gamer, and I'm still no where near end game yet even on my main characters. But still after playing for a bit, MH:W doesn't seem too challenging once you get the hang of your weapon and reading monster patterns. It's mostly just very grindy and requiring some patience is all. So, I just want to know if anyone else is doing a no-armor challenge and if anyone's already completed it, how doable is it really? I just made a new character last night just to try this out for the hell of it.

Well you wouldn't get access to skills except maybe from your charm and weapon slots, that's where it'd hurt the most.

If G-Rank ever releases, defence and resistances won't count for much anyway. It's dodge or block the damage, or die. So technically yeah no armour would be the games hard mode, in that case. Especially due to lacking skills.

The hardest part of the challenge is how stupid and ugly characters underclothes look though. Males are literally rent boys.

No Fortify, Evade Window / Evade Extension, no Weakness Exploit, no Stun Resistance or Guard or anything. No Earplugs to stop the Azure Rathalos effortlessly carting your exposed body with a roar + fireball combo etc etc. That's not going to be fun at all, but who said being awesome was fun?

You can fight without armour but are only limited to a number of monsters so I will say no it's not doable. But if you are really that good at reading monster movement and can time your attack well I would try GS tackle on every monster it's the only weapon in the game that can down any monster of any rank with a bang .

You won't get far unless you are I frame perfect. You will reach a certain point that an accidental toe or tail touch will one hit kill you. Is it possible? Well sure, if you're good enough and have the patience. Is it worth it? No, not even close. What's the point.

Hmmm enjoy getting carted every 20 seconds past low rank i guess, i don't think that would be fun at all

If you play range then it's quite possible. Melee? good luck dealing with chip damage (unless you turtle). Big attacks are easy to avoid, even though you're not good at dodging, but small attacks and invisible hitboxes will be difficult to deal with.

which weapon do you use? this game's dificulty is all about the weapon you choose, some of them are just incredibly naab friendly for dmg or dodgin (dual, glaive, for example)

Go play solo through everything and the game is fairly challenging.
Join a 4 person group on a regular monster and you can jerk your gerk and still get loot.

Well my main saves use light bowgun and the other uses insect glaive. For this new save, I'm either going try with hammer or dual blades. Haven't decided yet. Both seem really fun so far. Switch axe even seemed like a close choice too. I suppose it won't matter if I don't have to worry about armor anyone. I'll just spend everything on multiple weapons instead.

First, you have to activate "ZA WAAAARUUDO!" then go "ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA" on the monster's head (pref w/ the twin swords/dual blades)... I'm sorry 😂! I just watched JJBA a little while back...
