Monster Hunter: World
Paid Costumes, what say you?
Monster Hunter has been generous with skins and DLCs even before it came to consoles and PC. What gives after all these years of giving free costumes and DLC?

agreed id love to see all the armour have a layered version its hard to look good and have decent stats.
That is true. It's been a tradition to make mixed armors but I prefer looking good. Another Idea would be that new equipment augmentation thing, there will be an option to unlock layering so that there's still a challenge if you want to look good.
personally id rather layered just be seperate from gear otherwise its somthing alot of people wont beable to use until late game.

Honestly, any addition is fine, so long as they don't tie it to money / make it annoying to obtain.
Hell, even if it was with money, I might pay for that over paying for a 1-off costume that I might not use.

People are already editing the Samurai armor to use their own looks on it. I just don't want to get a ban if Capcom decides: this is a no-no

Handler costumes or skins are paid. Check out the DLC section. This topic ain't exclusive for your characters only. Let's consider Poogie and the Handler as well.

Oh my gawd! It's almost as if those two are rather... minor and pointless to mention? I mean, the costumes don't change the Handler's appearence when she talks via the radio or whatever. So there's really no major time you'd be looking at that outside of cutscenes maybe. Unless you're just sitting in camp starring at the Handler instead of helping with that tempered elder dragon...

So did you buy the Handler costume? How did it made you feel?

I didn't buy it because why would I? There's no real reason for me to buy any of the DLC outside of wanting to support the devs by throwing more money at them. Like, these cosmetics are so minor and unnoticeable that they're fine. It's not like Capcom is locking any of the extra monsters behind DLC.

Exactly my point, why should we pay for it? If they are so pointless to mention then why make a paid costume for a pointless matter instead of better ideas which most players would gladly pay for?

So what's your idea of better ideas that players would pay for? Cause alot of players would like new monsters, does that mean that Capcom should sell them to us and lock content behind a paid dlc? Alot of players want transmog, does that mean we should gladly pay for it?
Your question is so stupid it almost deserves no answer....
They made these optional cosmetic that are so pointless to mention so people wouldn't feel forced to buy them unless they would miss game content, instead if they want some costume for the handler or some stickers they can pay for them and support the devs while not negatively impacting their game experience.

My question is what do you think about paid costumes? With your comprehension and way of thinking is as stupid as your judgment. Since the base game did not add modding, you'd rather go for an unofficial way of doing it and maybe risking a ban, MAYBE for that matter? Now, so if capcom decides to put modding for a fee, would you purchase it or would you complain that it should be free? Cause ever since MH did not include any kind of modding to it's game. And for my opinion, I would rather pay for something useful to my gameplay (certainly not in anything to enhance my character to beat monsters easily) than having an option to pay something that should be free in the first place. Skin/costumes has been free since the old age as I mentioned.

I wans't answering the question you posted in the post because plenty of people already answered to it, if you would know how to pay attention you would've noted i answered to this "Exactly my point, why should we pay for it? If they are so pointless to mention then why make a paid costume for a pointless matter instead of better ideas which most players would gladly pay for?"
But since you can't understand something so simple i will give you straight answers that you have no way to misunderstand:
Paid Costumes YES GOOD THING They never sold Costumes in older games
Paid DLC with monster and new armor sets BAD THING they always released that kind of DLC for free in the past
NO I WOULDN'T PAY FOR MODS SINCE MODS SHOULD BE FREE BECAUSE THEY ARE MADE BY THE COMMUNITY USING THE TOOLS DEVS RELEASE
Also what costumes and skins you think were free in the old age exactly? Layered armor never existed in any mh i played before and never was such thing as costumes skins for npcs.
You seem like you just want the optional stuff that doesn't impact gameplay for free and the actual stuff that is usefull to gameplay to be paid for. Wtf is that reasoning? Would you rather pay for a new map than get it for free, Instead of paying for and optional costume and get the map for free?

Oh you were referring to that. It was a rhetorical question. So yes, it does not necessarily need an answer if you know what that is. Since you come here in this post and answering a question not addressed to you so please indulge me. You are the one who's saying anything about paid monster or armors don't put your words into my mouth.

First, "Would you rather pay for a new map than get it for free, Instead of paying for and optional costume and get the map for free?" - Paying something useful is plain logic. If devs get money from something useful then they would have more budget to make MORE USEFUL stuff. It's a way of supporting them. Put yourself on the devs shoes. WOULD YOU MAKE SOMETHING USEFUL FOR FREE?

Second, "NO I WOULDN'T PAY FOR MODS SINCE MODS SHOULD BE FREE BECAUSE THEY ARE MADE BY THE COMMUNITY USING THE TOOLS DEVS RELEASE " - can you do anything about it if Capcom puts a price on it? Of course you can by using an unofficial way with the risks that comes along with it (which is not yet proven if there is).

Third, "Also what costumes and skins you think were free in the old age exactly?" - As I said, Poogie used to have ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, why shouldn't the handler have free ones too?

It seems like your the type of person who demands for blessings but doesn't want to give back

Again, I'd prefer paying for useful stuff than costumes that 's supposed to be free.

P.S. I'd rather not have a discussion with you if you can't respect other people's opinion or if you can't understand basic logic.

As someone who spent 100's and 100's of dollars on tennogen stuff for warframe I'm ok for paid costumes so long as they are account applied and fairly priced. ie 10$ would be the max Id spend.
No, what do you think is paying for these free updates and keeping the servers up and running for years to come?

1) It's feckin obvious as to why they didn't include mod support, it's a multiplayer game and as such, mods can cause balance issues. Unless you think the guy that modded his defense and offense to the millions is fair.

2) Feck off with wanting to pay for actual content. Cosmetics are a good way to go about DLC because then players don't miss out on anything important and can all keep playing with one another. If the Deviljho was a paid DLC, you'd be seeing a lot of anger in the forums right now.

I would pay for layered armor, but capcom seems to prefer to give it out for free during events.
Downside of that is... you need to wait for an event and there isn't many of them yet.
They want people to come back and play at the events to keep the game alive. Thats why. Its not malicious or bad, its a common way to keep Mp communities alive and well.

I wouldn't have minded paid costumes, I just don't know I would have bought any for a long time. Even though I look like a clown, its gear I fought for. I'm at a point now that I wouldn't mind some real fashion though. I don't see them adding much.

I see why they added stuff for the handler, it doesn't take away from anything.
