Honestly, any addition is fine, so long as they don't tie it to money / make it annoying to obtain.
Hell, even if it was with money, I might pay for that over paying for a 1-off costume that I might not use.
People are already editing the Samurai armor to use their own looks on it. I just don't want to get a ban if Capcom decides: this is a no-no
Oh my gawd! It's almost as if those two are rather... minor and pointless to mention? I mean, the costumes don't change the Handler's appearence when she talks via the radio or whatever. So there's really no major time you'd be looking at that outside of cutscenes maybe. Unless you're just sitting in camp starring at the Handler instead of helping with that tempered elder dragon...
I didn't buy it because why would I? There's no real reason for me to buy any of the DLC outside of wanting to support the devs by throwing more money at them. Like, these cosmetics are so minor and unnoticeable that they're fine. It's not like Capcom is locking any of the extra monsters behind DLC.
Your question is so stupid it almost deserves no answer....
They made these optional cosmetic that are so pointless to mention so people wouldn't feel forced to buy them unless they would miss game content, instead if they want some costume for the handler or some stickers they can pay for them and support the devs while not negatively impacting their game experience.
But since you can't understand something so simple i will give you straight answers that you have no way to misunderstand:
Paid Costumes YES GOOD THING They never sold Costumes in older games
Paid DLC with monster and new armor sets BAD THING they always released that kind of DLC for free in the past
NO I WOULDN'T PAY FOR MODS SINCE MODS SHOULD BE FREE BECAUSE THEY ARE MADE BY THE COMMUNITY USING THE TOOLS DEVS RELEASE
Also what costumes and skins you think were free in the old age exactly? Layered armor never existed in any mh i played before and never was such thing as costumes skins for npcs.
You seem like you just want the optional stuff that doesn't impact gameplay for free and the actual stuff that is usefull to gameplay to be paid for. Wtf is that reasoning? Would you rather pay for a new map than get it for free, Instead of paying for and optional costume and get the map for free?
First, "Would you rather pay for a new map than get it for free, Instead of paying for and optional costume and get the map for free?" - Paying something useful is plain logic. If devs get money from something useful then they would have more budget to make MORE USEFUL stuff. It's a way of supporting them. Put yourself on the devs shoes. WOULD YOU MAKE SOMETHING USEFUL FOR FREE?
Second, "NO I WOULDN'T PAY FOR MODS SINCE MODS SHOULD BE FREE BECAUSE THEY ARE MADE BY THE COMMUNITY USING THE TOOLS DEVS RELEASE " - can you do anything about it if Capcom puts a price on it? Of course you can by using an unofficial way with the risks that comes along with it (which is not yet proven if there is).
Third, "Also what costumes and skins you think were free in the old age exactly?" - As I said, Poogie used to have ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, why shouldn't the handler have free ones too?
It seems like your the type of person who demands for blessings but doesn't want to give back
Again, I'd prefer paying for useful stuff than costumes that 's supposed to be free.
P.S. I'd rather not have a discussion with you if you can't respect other people's opinion or if you can't understand basic logic.
1) It's feckin obvious as to why they didn't include mod support, it's a multiplayer game and as such, mods can cause balance issues. Unless you think the guy that modded his defense and offense to the millions is fair.
2) Feck off with wanting to pay for actual content. Cosmetics are a good way to go about DLC because then players don't miss out on anything important and can all keep playing with one another. If the Deviljho was a paid DLC, you'd be seeing a lot of anger in the forums right now.
I wouldn't have minded paid costumes, I just don't know I would have bought any for a long time. Even though I look like a clown, its gear I fought for. I'm at a point now that I wouldn't mind some real fashion though. I don't see them adding much.
I see why they added stuff for the handler, it doesn't take away from anything.
