Good bow skills?

Hammer main trying to switch it up, I don't know what I'm doing.

So far my set is:
Villainous Brace
Dragonking Alpha
Dober Mail Beta
Kaiser Vambraces Beta
Nergigante Coil Beta
Diablos Nero Greaves Beta
Fitness Charm
slotted with Spread, Forceshot and Mighty Bow, for

Attack Boost 4, Weakness Exploit 3, Normal Shots, Constitution 3, Spread/Power Shots, Bow Charge Plus

Which leaves me with an empty lvl2 and a lvl3 slot. What am I missing? Anything I should get rid of? Would like more affinity but no expert jewels.

Constitution 3 and Bow Charge Plus are mandatory.
Normal Shots, Spread/Power Shots, Piercing Shots and Special Ammo Boost depend on your playstyle.
Stamina Surge and Marathon Runner are optional for better comfort (you can also replace constitution with SS depending on your playstyle).
Don't waste time increasing attack and trying to make a raw build, it's not worth imho it unless you want to meme with DPs. Go for a crit element build instead with two Rath pieces, anything that boosts affinity or crits (Weakness Exploit, Critical Eye, Critical Boost) + a couple gems that boost elemental damage for the bow that you're using.

Le diablos meme doesnt work with all weapons and the bow is one of them.

i strongly suggest you to make room for 3 elemental decos, you build its just fine if not perfect for bow.

you could drop constitution if you are drowing in Dash extratcs but....you know that thing its boring to farm.

I play critical elemental and have a set for each element. The thing is what he has right now is more suited towards the diabolos bow which is viable but less consistent than sepcialized elemental with 2 rathalos pieces. You dont have to intentionally farm dash extracts if you plan out hunts, tail, rituals and agrosy right.

You could swap out Dragonking and Dober for Rathian b head and chest WE and crit boost. This will give you Rathian set bonus for elemental crits (your bow is dragon elemental).

Thanks for the help, everyone. I'm confused on raw vs. elemental damage and what I should be going for. I didn't plan on switching between bows, so in that case would the extra dragon attack help against monsters that aren't weak to it?

And RE: Jho vs. Diablos, I figured the small amount of extra raw wasn't worth the loss of the elemental damage, an augment slot and the elderseal. Am I wrong? I'd gain two lvl1 jewel slots, but I don't know what I'd be putting into those. Maybe a couple of vitality jewels?

This would leave me short of a lvl3 slot, so I'd be forced to choose between normal shots and spread. Seems a bit steep. I'd also be giving up the extra 5% affinity from attack up 4. I do have a crit boost jewel I could slot in instead as a compromise, but my problem is I'm not criting very often.

Drop deviljho bow, its terrible too much negative affinity to work around elemental crits.

With bow you either go elemental crit with rathalos 2p, weakness exploit and as much consitution as you can fit or cera coilbender and dragonpiercer with elementless and special ammo boost.

Don't listen to people spewing nonsense about non-elemental bow being crap. It's not as ♥♥♥♥ as these "number-addicted" people thinks it is.. Most of them are just sheep that listens to Youtubers too much than actually doing math.

This build will let you hit decently, not as good as elemental build, but it's up there and still better than Critical Draw build in terms of speedruns. Sub 2 minutes is probably just a dream with this setup, but you can be consistent running missions in less than 3 minutes and is not that bad at all imho.

Your perks? You don't even need Dash Juice in this build because your Stamina regens too fast. You can deal multiple large monsters at once without going back to camp to use another loadout for element reasons.

Nah, stick to the one that looks best! At worst, it just adds a couple minutes to a fight and if you can't survive a few more seconds then you suck.

Helm: Bazel B - just for slots
Chest: Rathalos B - Weakness Exploit lvl 2
Gloves: Kaiser B - Weakness Exploit lvl 1
Waist: Rath Soul B or Rathalos B if you're using Anja Arch III - For Critical Element
Boots: Lavasioth B - Spread/Power Shots
Charm: Fitness Charm - For your stamina

You'll want to put Forceshot Jewel 3 and Mighty Bow Jewel 2 for more damage. I usually put one Critical Jewel 2 on top of those.

Yeah you can do that right now. You might still have to use Dash Juice for efficient speed farming but you're pretty solid as far as DPS goes. You can use that to farm for the missing mats and you're all set! :D
