Frozen Barioth's female armor set is actually better looking than the male version. First time I've ever said that about this game.
I agree that you should be able to grab anything and still kill the monster eventually, from somthing as memey as spin to win hammer, or speedrun glass cannon longsword, you may die, but it is often because of getting outplayed by a monster, missing or getting hit, but you can kill it even when unga bunga
safi I feel is a good enough balance between damage check and how unga bunga you can be before he kills you, any weapon can be used on him, but you need to learn your weapon's strengths and weakness, and know safi well enough to land decent blows on him, discounting that he is rather immobile. You do not need to use a speedrun build, as long you can be sure that you can land the damage consistently and run for the rocks when sapphire star, you are mostly good and should be able to beat his damage check
alatron Imo is the opposite, by forcing you to use one specific set up and making some of the weapons near useless, even then it is not 100%, not even 70% garrenteed that you win, not to mention it is very obscure on how elemental actually works though in game stuff. rajang and raging brachy at the very least if you hit them enough, theydies, and guess what? they have no damage checks either.
I have suggestions for alatron which should be easily implemented, it should hopefully at worst writing some new code and tuning numbers(I have no idea how it is coded, but from my own programming knowledge it should at least save on the animation and assets side), but all of the current assets can be used without having to make new ones or make current ones redundant
the nuke and the damage check system stays, but the main difference is that
if you break one of his horns, the judgement damage gets reduced to current successful damage check damage PERMANENTLY, if you break the other horn, it becomes laughable. If you meet the damage check in those states it gets reduced even further. This is in a way similar to barioth fight, where if you break both of his front legs, he becomes far less agile and stops spamming that side bash move, and instead becoming more of a opening for damage, as in the same case as here, if alatron has both horns smashed to dust you can put health booster down at the place he goes boom and keep attacking.
for balancing alatron becomes even weaker to element damage in general(water, dragon and lightlng gets a 2 star weakness base across the board, and stun gets 3 stars for maxiumn unga bunga memes
current alatron can be converted to a AT version without any changes.
No way
Frozen Barioth gear is finally doing female characters some justice, it's absolutely god tier and makes you look like a real hunter
It was already better looking to begin with. have you actually played long?
as for the topic yeah i don't really see my self farming him hard, the only weapon i found useful is the bow and maybe hammer if you REALLY like dragon element.
He's just a "fun" fight.
Reminds me a lot of other fights tbh.

pure skill, no salt.
Alatreon's a Black Dragon ffs. He deserved better.
Ahaha....Well the weapons look really cool (armor looks cool but has crummy skills). The problem is, randoms are fukken ♥♥♥♥ at this game, and the server issues.
If the objective it to get to the other side of a wall, you don't exactly go up against it and keep hitting it until it breaks, you could just go over it or find other ways around it.
This isn't any different, you just need a different approach if you find yourself sticking to your guns.
I seen so many people still bring raging brachy weapons to this fight...
That an instant kick if they don't switch weapon when I ask.
And of course those people who dont have these builds are not going to enjoy being forced into them.
DPS checks in MMO's are inclusive, you can play your classes, you get matched with an appropriate team for it. You can't do that with MHW, it doesn't have the kind of matchmaking necessary, the kind of forced team compositions, or even enough players. Because honestly, everyone's done everything, quit the game, and only just come back for title updates. And that's what we always did.
