The next thing I'm gonna try is elemental LBG. The same thing could be done there, but you'd have the possibility of flinching him with elemental damage, so you might be able to get away with only carting once (intentionally just to restock).
To each their own I suppose. Grats?
Hey, the mechanics are kinda BS to be honest, so the strategy to win is as simple as dying intentionally to restock your ammo. Maybe if they actually made a fight that was fun, interesting and dynamic, I'd enjoy using something else.
Once I get my mats, I'll move on. Haven't even attempted this on a team yet, don't really need to. Solo is easier.
Bruh, he's only got 50k hp. How weak do you think sticky is?
"Alatreon, I've come to bargain."
Cheese strat? The game hard locked people into using elemental non-bowgun weapons (if you do multiplayer), all I'm doing is circumventing the trash mechanics and getting a victory. Considering all the salt revolving around this fight, and people QQing and calling for nerfs, I just went in and beat the monster's ass like it was no big deal.
Someone could use the same exact strategy to beat the monster using their raw weapons, providing they actually did plenty of damage with them, which isn't something a novice player is going to be able to pull off.
However, I intend to try some other weapons against him, and some of them might employ intentionally carting to the nova. Like gunlance has no chance to solo Alatreon without that strategy, until someone proves otherwise. That person isn't gonna be me, because I already know elemental GL doesn't do enough damage to meet the DPS check. Might as well just shell it, and take the forced carts to a nova attack you've got no answer for with that specific weapon.
Maybe if capcom didn't shoehorn people into elemental, and even hard lock some weapons out of winning entirely following the recommended mechanics, then maybe I'd feel differently about the fight.
nope. wrong skill
I used a different sticky build than the usual. Artillery 5 + regular spare shot, along with the usual attack skills. That way I was closer to sticky cap without bombardier. Still managed to win before 3 carts, so I didn't even need safeguard. The Artillery 5 build was a comfier set too, I had evade extender 3, and evade window 3 (5 with mantle), so not getting hit was pretty easy.
Maybe 1% of the community would actually be useful in this fight on a team? The other 99% would pretty much be dead weight, not even pulling their 1/4 share of the team's effort? Saying ♥♥♥♥ that, and just soloing it seems like the smart choice in my book.
But hey, Capcom DID put solo scaling in the fight, so they intended for players to be able to solo it, which I did. If this thing had over 100k HP, I wouldn't be able to kill it before using all the carts, even with safeguard cart + restocking. 52k is no big deal though.
And intentionally dying to it's mechanics.
And you're still complaining the fight isn't "fun".
Grats? I hope you find something more fun to do in the fight because this sounds like a pretty sad cycle to me.
