Do MR quests give me more research points?
I started to do quests to max out the research score of the monsters.

By the time Iceborn dropped I'd already maxed out all my LR/HR research levels for each monster. Does beating them in MR boost the LR/HR research levels if you've yet to finish them? I'd assume so, but can't verify it from personal experience.

Yes it does and it's faster if you collecting tracks. I just tested not long ago and girros in HR gave me 130points in 3min and in MR it gave me 170 points in 5min. If I go for the tracks it's easier to farm the achievement.
