Alpha or Beta armor set ?
I just got Hunter Rank 11 and unlocked higher grade gear. I bought the Alpha set Bone Armor which had more armor than Beta but then I understood that the beta version of each armor had " slots" to upgrade stats.

Is it still worth it ?

Are you planing to go into Iceborne? If yes then use defender. If not then use alpha because alpha armor has more skill points. Beta armor is useful in late game when you have all the decos you need but now you are lack of decos.

Alpha if you dont have enough decorations for a specific build you, go Beta if you have the necessary decorations.
And Alpha and Beta monster armors sets have the same base armor ratings.

I don´t have Iceborn for the moment. I don´t know wether I need this expansion immediately since I didn´t finish the first Game. Actually, I don´t know WHEN Monster Hunter World ends hence I didn´t buy the expansion. I find the first game quite big actually.

I use Bone Hammer level 2 (allready packs a punch) not the Defender Hammer. And for the moment I don´t use the Guardian Armor (only for really really tough Monsters).

Yes I just got my first decoration so I went with the Alpha set which has more armor. Thanks.
