Disable Camera Focus

Can i disable the camera focus from the L1 button? it keeps ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ up my camera view mid fight while using the L1+b/x to scroll to a new item on the quick bar.

you can, yeah page 2 of camera settings "camera style". i also use the directional pad to use the quick bar

yeah but then you can't walk, the game is ok, don't get me wrong, but the amount of bs you constantly have to work around is so stupid

I never had to use L1 to scroll through items at the lower right. I always used the D-pad when i used that method for items.

The most efficient method is take time to setup your radial menu so then you use L1 to bring up a centered radial menu and use the right analog stick to pick an item. You can further adjust it so the item is used when you release or push the right analog stick.

Whatever method you use, you have to stop and sheath to use an item. There's no way around that unless you're using Sword and Shield.

The only feature I found was disabling the camera from locking on to your targets. Was there a feature to disable the creature lock on completely? I would prefer that because it certainly has not impressed me in any way.

I have it setup in a way where I hold L1 for the radial menu while a quick push of the L1 adjusts the camera to focus on whatever monster I've targeted. It sounds like simply pushing your L1 button is set to do 2 things at once.

Which is why I switched my radial menu to the buttons on the right. You can do that too. So you can choose radial menu and items and move/run at the same time. Got the tip from a youtube video, changed my hunting life.
