Easy slinger ammo with heavy weapon

Recently decided to return to the mhw. But as far as i see only light weapons drop slinger ammo. Okay how am i supposed to utilize new move mechanics if i am soloing this game with heavy wep?

you can still get slinger ammo from the environment and the normal low HP pod drops. there is usually a rock pile or somesuch at the exit of each camp, and other pod sources are actually quite common once you actually start paying attention to them.

So obtaining slinger for heavy weps remains the same as vanilla? Ok, thanks for the info

yeah, its just that light weapons have easier access to monster dropped pods now.

Keep in mind the ability to wound a monster 100% of the time with a heavy weapon more than makes up for lack of pod drops most of the time. If you're somehow in an area where there's absolutely no pods then sure it can be annoying when you need to flinch but I've never had issues hunting without pod drops. The only time I really care to drop tons of pods with a light weapon is when its' a monster that drops loads of Thorn Pods for easy KOs.

CMIIW, there's a way by using palico's plunderblade, it will also make monster drops slinger.
