Problem with this obviously is you'll be losing health every hit from the health drain of resentment so not having an HP augment to offset that is a dangerous game. So for most people a traditional MT build with Raging is optimal, but if you're a savant with greatsword then go balls to wall and use the Safi set.
Thinking about it more, the 5% natural affinity Safi has is probably the greatest advantage it has over Raging GS, assuming you're adhering to this set up. Obviously Safi provides way more customization, which is an advantage in and of itself but Raging best compares to meta awakened Safi.
I'd consider the Raging Brachydios to be the standard GS in a meta set as it allows you to max more skills and thus increase your damage output overall. This depends on the decorations that you have obtained so Safi can be better if you do not have the necessary decorations yet.
I'm not entirely sure on this, but I think the Raging Brachydios GS will outdamage the Safi GS if you have all the decorations needed for a meta set.
It's still worth it to use the Safi GS of course as I would expect the differences to be fairly minimal.
The Raging Brachydios GS is a lot easier to obtain, but the decorations that are needed to unlock it's full potential might take a bit more time.
It all hinges on whether you have the decorations to take advantage of the slots in the Raging Brachydios GS.
