Kulve Taroth weapons
I have a question : are the weapons that you obtain trough the Kulve Taroth raid (The fury of El Dorado) and the weapons you meld from the items gained in the event quest (The Eternal Gold Rush) any different ? Also, what is the difference between Kulve weapons and Kjarr ?

There used to be an advantage before Iceborne because you could use non-elemental boost on a Taroth weapon with a hidden element for a pretty good raw weapon. Now that NEB is nerfed and MR Taroth weapons are trash, there isn't really any scenario where you'd want to choose Taroth over Kjarr.

They are the same weapons. Kjarr weapons have either Critical Element or Critical Status built into the weapons. Kulve weapons don't. Although the Kulve weapons upgrade to have Kulve essence on them, like with Safi weapons.
I don't know why MR players do the HR raid as it takes way too long to get maybe one or two Kjarr weapons.
Much faster to do the MR Kulve and meld the weapons.

You wouldn't unless you wanted to save an armour piece for Kulve Essence. So you could get Kulve Essence and another two piece set.

You can't but you can trade MR parts to the elder melder for a chance to get some kt/kjarr wps.

It's much better to farm the MR quest, unless your trying to get the bushi or high rank kulve layored armor (you need some stuff you can only get in the siege)

With the master rank quest, you can bust the gold plating off her horns for 3 carves, bust off her horns for 4 carves, guaranteed to be her horns it gems, and then kill her for another 5 carves, all the while picking up odds and ends from her broken mantle

You then go to the melder, and under awakening alchemy, you will have kjarr alchemy, which requires an elder gmdragon bone, and kulve materials (1 master rank gem yields 3 weapons, you need 300 pts worth, each horn is worth 60 etc.)

Each time you do this, you get 3 incandescent weapons, which are equivalent to the highest reward box from the siege, these have a decent chance if being kjarr weapons (though it isn't garunteed) you can even use your leftover siege parts to awaken :D

You then upgrade the weapons at the smithy, to make them master rank quality, using parts (only from the MR quest)

So it's faster, and gives better rewards, and is the only way to make the kjarr weapons master rank quality :D

And generally the kjarr weapons are so good, because of built in crit element, Normally you would need 4 pieces of rathalos armor, with it built in, you can wear 5 piece Safi jiva, for huge boosts in elemental damage :D

Hopefully this was helpful, let us know if you have more questions :)
