So dauntless turned into epic games store trash (Lock or Move)
i mean, you CAN connect your founder account to PS4 or Xbone and there is cross play, but i think the majority reason to play it on PC over those two is keyboard and mouse control options, and the fact my PC could eat both of those systems combined and still have power to game now.

yeah im a bitter founder, lets see some salt emotes that always makes things better.

no i say, i call on ANYONE who was a founder, get ahold of tehm and demand a refund for either

A. forcing us into a position where we have to download another launcher for their game, that is FREE TO PLAY AND COULD LITERALLY BE HOSTED ANYWHERE TO ZERO DETRIMENT ON PROFITS

B. making us have to own a console to avoid the cancerous epic games launcher, which lets face it, this game was conceived before this launcher was a thing. on that premise, all the userbase was expecting either a off platform launch using their own launcher specifically for the game like it has up to this point, or a steam release. hell, they coulda released through GoG for all i care.

if a mod moves this to trololo so be it, but i felt it had to be said somewhere.

yeah your one of the lucky ones, i liked to believe another group could make a competing boss fighting game like monster hunter. they did, but they shat the bed with this launch.

Dauntless literally sold itself as the Monster Hunter killer, of course it was going to be trash; hell, it was selling $50 USD item packs when it was still in beta

yeah i never bought anything beyond founders packs, i wasnt that dumb thankfully. though i can sympathize with those that did thinking the game would be great as well.

I was interested in that game....like, what, 2 years ago. But I never got into that beta, they kept delaying it, and they basically went silent for a long while. Then MHXX/GU and World released and I lost interest in that game completely.

I also have a founder account but havent played since last december and to be honest, iam a bit disappointed that they are moving to epic.

The game had some potential in my eyes, but i am not a fan of epic...

apparently it was picking up near the end of the beta, but i update the launcher this morning in prep for the full 1.0 release, and it was literally a 12mb update after the like 2 GB update 3 days ago, to literally tell me, hey you need the epic games launcher now and play it through that.

if there was ever a digital middle finger that wasnt written in ascii....

I liked dauntless, holy reza and shroud were enjoyable everything else meh, the graphic
style was the only problem, it is awful imo. I get a headache plus I cant take it serious.

Their decision to go to epic store killed this game for me ultimately. I was hoping so badly
for a steam release but they were never interested in the first place I read on reddit from a dauntless stuff.

I hope they will succed because its kinda awesome but sadly I wont support it rn maybe in
the future when they change directions.

I agree that the Epic Games Store is complete trash (and suspicious), but you have no one to blame but yourself for being a founder.

i was looking into getting a refund, but its all run through epic now. so im basically going to get a no on the refund for my founders pack. because epic is the way they are.

i'd gladly found the game again, if there was a heads up that say, hey we're gonna go play with the new kids on the block, rather than try to stick to our plan of being direct competition with monster hunter on the platform they are on.

no, as someone who backed the game early, if this was a scenario where the game came out like crap i'd not be here talking about it, i'd be on their forums.

but this is a whole new scenario, one of which no one could have seen coming when they also got a founders pack long ago. going to a almost universally hated company among PC gamers, exclusively, not even running their own launcher as an option anymore. with no warning that something like this might be happening till they are fully out of beta.

no this is a whole new level of ♥♥♥♥, kinda like outer worlds pulled.

I liked dauntless but the graphic style is awful imo. Their decision to go to epic killed this game for me ultimately. Gladly I spend zero buck on it.
The tumblr art style definitely doesn't help matters.

The only thing I actually liked was the hammer weapon. It was entertaining.

+1, ditto, even if it wasnt the meta during beta, its always what i played. hammer + blunderbuss = best weapon design ever.
Looks like some gimpy hybrid of MH with Torchlight graphics(Ew.)

Never heard of it, I probably wouldn't have messed with it in the first place but now that it's on Epic I'm certainly going to avoid it. Still having fun with World without Iceborne so my MH appetite will be whetted for a long time.

Sorry this happened though TC, while I don't have any interest in Dauntless Epic's shennanigans have bugged me in other regards so I can empathize.

yeah the art style was nothing amazing, but its combat mechanics were neat, it was a mix of something like MMO raid mechanics and monster hunter fight mechanics.

its kinda like if Tera was less Lolicon/furcon and the focus was killing 1 target, not it and anything else its spawns all the time.

Played it for a while with my friends back when the stag-lizard-thingy that uses roots to attack was the latest released boss. Cleared all content with the exception of the input-reading super sniper porcupine on heroic? or hard? can't remember, because he was incredibly annoying.
Played a lot of pike and found the wound mechanic to be a neat gimmick. Kinda sad it goes on the epic store, feelsbadman.
