styx isnt the best for MAX DEEPS but its by far the best ls for utility and qol builds as it frees you off the damned handicraft charm as it can sustain white without it just fine. even more if you use masters touch. this gives you lots of free slots for stuff like health bosst stun resist etc or fire resist depending on monster. it allows for far better custom options than for example jho or meme slasher. the later 2 do more dps for certain but on most ATs survival beats dmg for most players as very few players are as skilled as speedrunners and never get hit.

as for the reason why ruin is better, more damage and you don't need razor sharp with master's touch from behemoth set bonus

i don't think you should feel even remotely offended that he said guy because no1 even knows what gender you are but he's saying it based off male tending to game more than females.

having two level 3 slots over 2 level 2 slots makes very small difference unless you want earplugs, which is made useless by the fact that you can foresight slash everything with longsword

thats just long sword, not all ruin has two lvl 2 slots some have just one lvl 2 slot. styx will always have at least two slots with 1 being lvl 3 and the other at least lvl 1

i dont care about your gender at all.

styx also has 10% affinity. ruin does not. saves you another slot on your gear. makes 2 slots already. plus razor sharp allows you to scrap masters touch aswell in case its useful to maybe run something else depending on fight. the FS argument is moot.

as by that logic you can also just skip luna weapons entirely as ds and jho are flat out better if you can just fs EVERYTHING like a pro. but as i stated not everyone can even play on that level as fs timeing differs by monster its not something you can easyly do by default.

and that is where styx shines and has its niche use. dont argue luna weapons with fs as your argument. as that is literally silly. may aswell skip luna entirely if you can fs everything already and run a flat out stronger LS instead.

Sword Fire is better than all Luna LS anyway, more raw and same natural sharpness. Make sure you get it next time KT is around.
