Witcher Grymalkyne side quest bugged?

I've collected every palico gadget and still the side quest fails because the NPC doesn't have enough research. How can this be possible? Is this a bug or did I really miss something ?

1. Lets get an obvious question out of the way, do you have ANY mods installed? If so remove them and try again. (I don't think any existing mods would effect this, but may as well eliminate the potential factor)

2. To clarify, you have the Meowlotov Cocktail?

3. You might need some Unity with the Gajalaka. Level 3 unlocks the Gajalaka Shellshock ability which is referenced in the vauge reward the side quest grants.

After finishing the grimalkyne quests in each zone, the Lyrian researcher usually has a "quest complete" line to tell you for each tribe you befriend, have you talked to him in every zone after completing them? That might be the issue.

The Fisherman guy and the Endemic Life Researcher do the same, you might want to check aswell.

You might need to actually hunt a monster with a Grimalkyne first before the quest can be completed.

It isnt Grimalkynes, it's Gajalaka;

OP, make sure you've done the sidequest where you befriend the Gaja, it's a prereq for the sidequest

Guys I've checked everything. Yes I have all Palico Gadgets. My friendship with Gajalaka is on lvl 2. I checked every npc on every map and I did every quest. Don't know what to do now..

I guess try getting unity/friendship with the gajalaka to level 3 (most reliable way would be hunting the elders recess monster you're most comfortable with, but running up to their camp near Nergi's nest to fetch one of them before the fight, and repeat untill level 3)

Holy, it was the lvl 3 friendship...I hope some guides will consider this information
