Great sword charged attack axis?
Haven't found anything about this specific thing in google. I've tried to mess with the settings too, and didn't find the one for this.

It's about the charging attack direction with the great sword and the camera ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ around with it. The character always turns to the direction of the camera while charging, meaning it makes a normal spin when the camera is behind, and it inverts the direction while the camera is in front of you (you push the joystick to de right and the character turns to its left). What I want is to mantain that "from-the-character" axis whether the camera is in front or behind. It's really fustrating, specially when you got a worn-out right joystick that slightly moves the camera if you don't center it properly and sometimes that ♥♥♥♥ screws the direction in the middle of a charging attack.

Anyone else? Is there really a setting that I overlooked? tbh I can't believe there is none, with all the potential tryhardness this game has, this surely has also bothered millions by now.

I think you're looking for Options > Controls > Directional Control Type > change this to Type 2. This should take the direction the camera is facing out of the equation, extremely valuable for sword and shield and other weapons where you'd rather just have attack / roll direction based off of character direction.

I personally have gotten used to Type 1 for greatsword but always need to use Type 2 for sword and shield.

you have 2 option, either buy a new controller or use kb & m
( or you can try not pushing forward on the left analog stick once the combo started )

I dont believe there is such a setting.

People just...
Got used to it?

I see. Too bad they didn't think about implementing this detail while developing the game.

I can understand people would have less trouble getting used to it with a proper controller. But I still think many people would have appreciated that setting, too.

Thanks for the answers.

You could try adjusting the right stick deadzone in your controller steam settings to stop the drifting.

Well that helped me a lot. I don't know how I managed to never come up with that, considering it bothered me in other games, too.

Won't fix the issue completely but it will definitely make it more comfortable. Thanks buddy.

That IS exactly what I was looking for. Worst thing is I already tested that one and I didn't notice the difference, don't know how many neurons I had left that day. Luckily I just tested it again just in case and boom in my face.

See, I was pretty sure that feature was a must. Feeling kinda stupid right now, though, but very grateful ma boi.
