buff him are you crazy? he already gets away with too much bs, unblockable grab, hard to reach body parts, insane damage, annoying long range attacks, insane hitboxes if anything he needs a damn nerf
MHW's Savage Deviljho is definitely weaker than previous game's Savage Deviljho, and It's unfortunate considering how MHW's HR Deviljho is more dangerous than HR Deviljho in previous games. When I fought Savage Deviljho for the first time with crappy gear and all, I was ready for a true challenge, but unfortunately I didn't get that challenge. Rajang certainly gave me that challenge though.
One thing I will say though, when Savage Deviljho picks up a smaller monster he goes absolutely buck wild, a Savage Deviljho was holding a Tobi Kadachi and he attacked a lot, not letting up, barely any windows, killed two team members and It wasn't even tempered, he's actually kinda scary when he does that.
The game offers enough solutions to deal with all of that.
i tried fighting him with LS and SA and he wouldn't stay still long enough to get some decent offense going on he's constantly moving away and throwing his entire body all over the place
I like fighting him with long shelling Gunlance with my Zorah set. It has max tremor resist and I use evade extender 3 for the pins.
Dual blades are another option. Just tickle his feet. Don’t get smashed tho lol.
All you do is complain about the game being hard and respond with "NUH UH!" posts when someone tries to give you advice.

I've beaten Savage Deviljho with a variety of melee weapons inlcuding : SA, CB, GS, LS and IG.
There isn't a single monster that is anti-melee, even Silver Rathalos can be beaten with a melee weapon. I'm not a fan of ranged weapons and I barely use them, but that's just my personal preference. I've never felt the need to switch to a ranged weapon for any monster in the game.
Savage Deviljho uses his elemental attacks a lot more then regular Deviljho and he also extends his combos a lot more. He's enraged almost constantly and tend to aggresively chase you across the map.
His main weakness is his chest, which is a spot that most melee weapons can easily reach. If you stand right beneath his chest and just between his legs you should be relatively safe from most of his abilities. Always let him finish his combo's before counter attacking and pay close attention to his moveset so you can determine when it's safe to engage. If he uses the breath attack on the ground and creates a lingering cloud you should inmediately back off and keep your distance. Fighting near this cloud is a death sentence.
Keep focussing on the chest as much as possible and if you manage to down him you can focus on the tail or head. I'd recommend severing the tail if possible as it makes his tail swipes much more manageable to deal with due to his reduced range.
His entire body becomes a hitbox when he uses his lunging attacks, but you can prevent him from doing this by staying closer to him. Always stay away from the head and back off inmediately when he uses the cloud attack.
I hope this helps you defeat him! Good luck!
T3 Savage Deviljho is broken i don't care what anyone says.
