Name Change

I know this question has been asked a bunch of times but I couldn't find a definitive answer/working one but I have a character I put a good amount of hours into but they have a name I don't go by anymore and I was wondering if there was a way (with iceborne being out) to change my name? A lot of the mods are dead and I can't find a working one but it also seems cheat engine is only clientside? Are there any working ones available?

try using a character save editor... but idk if it still works. i used it pre IB, but it's not a mod, it's a software to edit your character save file. you can change faces, names, palicos...

It no longer works, the modder said he/she was tired of capcoms anti-modding crap and pretty much abandoned the community.

The first & second are the same pretty much, just a different way to run it. I'm not looking for a local change only, I'd want other people to see the name change

the name change is permanent. other people saw it too.

I heard they were both local only and you had to do it every time you restart the game

You can change it with cheat engine really easily. It is also permanent.

Use this program to easily edit your character. Yes, others will see any changes that you make.

The Appearance Editor mod can change your name and looks, does work with IB, and is safe to use.

World has no anti-cheat, you're free to use whatever mod or programs you want.

"MHWI Save Editor" by EnderHDMC It's great, I chose a voice for my hunter that I got annoyed of probably 40hrs in. It can reset character and palico customization tokens and allows you to edit their names if you wish plus it allows you to get the Assassins mantle and the Milla Jovovich layered armor from the movie which are no longer available to get in game due to them being limited time events.
