Edit: I just realized the Artillery skill on the mantles are going to waste.
also lacking attack boosting skills. youre not hitting sticky cap dmg therefore.
your attack boosting skills all go to waste completly by not running 3p zorah for att 5. as they are worse total than the level 5 of that skill in the end dmg wise. plus you can run att 5 and still keep alot of the dmg booster skills.
slugger is kinda overkill and can be gotten via the mantles aswell. impact is way more useful on a sticky build than temporal aswell. rocksteady on an lbg is kinda wasted potential aswell.
impact and some other good mantles like immunity or elemental mantles or gilder allow you to run 2 levels of slugger which frees up slots. the total amount of kos is limited anyway due to dimishing returns. so slugger quickly stops beeing useful a bit into a hunt. its nice to have but not needed at all times.
I tried this build to see how Artillery 5 affected damage. After a few Guiding Lands hunts the damage appears comparable to the build I was using. Every sticky did 140-180 damage which is the damage range I had before. There must be some sort of damage cap so the change in build did not give me any noticeable benefits.
guiding lands. i hope you didnt use fortify there. as that means youll hit cap either way. it completly negates both skills therefore. with fortify you dont need either skill basically. but that only applies to guiding lands.
yes there is a sticky cap of course otherwise sticky would be even more broken than it currently is.
there is a reason for the aquashot meta build : you can use 3p zorah AND 3p narga. not makeing use of that kinda defeats the point of getting a narca essense as you may aswell run 3p narca and gain more true raw on the bowgun via awakenings instead.
plus with good decos you can literally get either peak 3 or attack 5+ into the build WHILE keeping att 5 setbonus.
Thank you both for the advice the cap on stickys makes it alot more confusing to figure out lol
