For Skills:
Tenderizer is alright, but you actually would prioritize horn maestro, attack boost, and agitator over critical eye or critical boost.
Reason being is that the bread and butter of your damage, shockwaves through recitals, only scale with raw attack and do not crit. Health boost also helps a lot when learning HH since you have only 3 defensive options: dodge, move, or take the hit.
Peak Performance is also REALLY good on HH, if you have life steal, regen, or don't get hit.
When starting in high rank:
- Bone armor and some Girros armor are best if you don't have the decorations.
- Rathian or Ingot later for health boost.
- Rathalos helm and chest for attack boost and tenderizer.
- Nergigante armor near the end of high rank is really nice for both that meaty attack boost and agitator that you want.
dude that new HH move where u spin it loses sharpness SOOOO fast. If you want a triple echo combo into recital setup, doing it while hitting monster will drain your sharpness real fast unless you have healthy white.
If you want damage, look for armor with weakness exploit, critical eye, critical boost, etc.
And if you're lucky, slot in non-elemental boost deco into your armor (if you're using bone horn)
Also don't forget to meld sonorous jewel from the old lady.
(charm & a armor will be your best bet for early game, since you're pretty short in decoration)
for a charm, feel free to upgrade it to the max, since you can upgrade it even further later in Iceborne
for the armor, you can upgrade it too since there'll be higher grade armor sphere in Iceborne, but you don't have to grind too hard, since 99% of em gonna be obsolete
as long as you have iceborne you have access to the new moves they gave us in iceborne. HH gained that move that lets you spin your horn after planting it into the ground, letting you combo that into two new songs. What I was talking about is people often queue impact echo using that combo to build up stun value on monsters head when you play the queue, letting you get 3 songs in one + one recital to finish. In solo, this will often stun monster if you land all the echos on the head.
