Vezi statistici:
Endgame greatsword builds
Hi my fellow oversized sword users.

I'd like to start by pointing out that:
- I'm not a speedrunner
- Safi armor seems useless for me as I sheathe my weapon quite often
- Except for certain monsters I always use the temporal and rocksteady mantle for softening and wall knocks so the skills on my mantles don't last that long

I currently have 2 endgame builds, one as 'kinda glasscannon' (again not a speedrunner) and one more tanky one for ♥♥♥♥♥es like the rajang who won't let me survive.

For both Builds I use the Safi Shatterspitter. I've considered Lightbreak blade but I feel like the little bit of raw still is a difference on a TCS and the 5% affinity is too good to let go for one deco slot. I've never really noticed a difference with the little bit of blast. I upgraded it with 2x sharpness V for that sweet purple sharpness, 2x Attack V and 1x attack VI. Augments are Attack and Health regen.

For my glass cannon build obviously all my troubles would be solved by one Attack Jewel+ but the RNGesus seems to hate me.

The thing I have a hard time figuring out is:
- For my glass cannon build, should I drop one skill I'm currently using to get crit eye lvl 7 instead of 6
- For my tank build, should I drop a bunch of skills to get attack up lvl 4 at least.

Here is my glass cannon build:
Kaiser crown B+ (I know the high rank one would provide me with better slots but the defence difference is kinda high)
Brachydium Mail B+
Kaiser Vambraces B+
Kaiser coil B+
Brachydium greaves B+
Challenger charm V

Giving me the following skills:
- Agitator secret & Masters touch
- Agitator lvl 7
- Crit eye lvl 6
- Attack boost lvl 4
- Crit boost lvl 3
- Weakness exploit lvl 3
- Health boost lvl 2
- Blast Attack lvl 2
- Focus lvl 2
- Other irrelevant stuff but better than nothing
- Both mantles equipped with one Attack jewel and one expert jewel

And here is my tank build:
- Golden Lunehelm B+
- Brachydium Mail B+
- Kaiser Vambrances B+
- Golden Lunecoil B+
- Brachydium Greaves B+
- Challlenger Charm V

Giving me the following skills:
- Divine Blessing secret & Agitator secret
- Crit eye lvl 7
- Agitator lvl 7
- Divine blessing lvl 5
- Health boost lvl 3
- Crit boost lvl 3
- Weakness exploit lvl 3
- Focus lvl 2
- Handicraft lvl 1 (good to have without masters touch and its comboed with an expert jewel)
- Peak performance lvl 1
- Other irrelevant stuff
- Both mantles equipped with 2 attack jewels

Any thoughts on how to improve these? Not a loot of good decos available sadly except some charger/vitality...

The only things I’d personally change is getting focus up to level 3. Helps a lot in the tighter openings.

Yeah, deco's are sadly the difference between a complete build and an unfinished one. I like your glass cannon build, but if you wanna go even more riskier, you can remove the health boost and focus and go with resentment instead.

This is a perfect build, meaning it's very deco heavy. This thing hits like a truck, but it has no health augments, so be careful.

Kaiser Crown B+
Raging Brachy Mail B+
Raging Brachy Braces B+
Raging Brachy Faulds B+
Safi Crested Boots B+

Fury Charm V (Resentment 5)

Throw in a bunch of critical eye, attack boost and weakness exploit jewels and you got

Attack Boost Lvl 7
Critical Eye Lvl 7
Agitator Lvl 7
Resentment Lvl 5
Critical Boost Lvl 3
Weakness Exploit Lvl 3
Latent Power Lvl 1
Fortify

It's a beast, but you gotta be very careful though.
Your DPS build is mathematically the best build, I can't really recommend any way to make it better without saying you should get better decos.

For the tank build I would personally do something like
Brachydium Helm B
Golden Lunemail B
Brachydium Braces B
Golden Lunecoil B
Kulve Taroth's Wrath B
Challenger Charm V

With this I can get
Agi 7
Crit eye 7
Divine Blessing 5
Weakness Exploit 3
Critical Boost 3
Slinger Capcity 3 (personally I need this on GS)
Focus 3
Health Boost 3
Tool specialist 2
Protective Polish

Tons of gems lots so you can mess around and add whatever you want. The only major god decos I used in this were Focus/Vitality jewels but you said you have some. Remember that the holy trinity for pants are Kulve, Garuga, and Brachy. Just pick whichever one compliments your decos. Personally I like Kulve since she has the highest def (barely) and I like being able to use the alpha version for peak performance if I can fit it in.

With all due respect, I have no idea what makes this build "perfect" - it has no sharpness management and no consistent way to maintain resentment. You need at least 3 piece Safi for that. Are you supposed to just let yourself get hit and hope you have enough red life to last the whole fight? Block with the GS and hope the chip leaves you with enough red life to last the whole fight? I don't see how this build could ever work outside of a speedrun with a very specific setup, and OP said he's not a speedrunner.
Edit: it also doesn't have focus, which is an essential GS skill.

I haven't seen this build before. Pretty cool, I like the idea. Definitely going to experiment with this later, ty
Is Frostcraft considered as endgame GS build?

Yes. It's used by speedrunners quite a bit as well iirc. It hits hard but I think it goes through sharpness quickly so the playstyle is to slinger into TCS.
Frostcraft GS isn't bad with long white sharpness, like on a Safi greatsword and 1 sharpness V mod. I usually don't need to sharpen for a hunt with that much white.

Good with or without critical draw, though personally I prefer it without.
I also do not recommend Safi armor with greatsword. It's just poor synergy.

Yea I thought the resentment was weird too.

I've kinda been going for the first build you gave but those jewels are a ♥♥♥♥♥ xD, thx for all the replies though.
I’m using the frostcraft greatsword and it pretty comfy with health boost and divne blessing. Agi 7 and frostcraft as main source of damage because i went for CE 6 not CE 2 and 4 Attack.

Yeah, basically. And by perfect, I meant that it's skills are all fully maxed out. Of course it's not optimal for general use, but this is a glass cannon build meant to trade HP for damage. You have to be really good at dodging to make this set viable.

A way to keep resentment up would be to use poisoncups to let yourself take a little bit of damage. Another way would be to take a hit from the monster itself and then put on the Temporal or Vitality mantle.

Also, I don't run focus on my greatsword, ever. I know it's a personal thing but I'd rather take more damage-oriented skills over focus.
