nice congrats
However I run MHW and checked the temps on HWmonitor and only one core went up to 65 degrees the rest of the cores were at 55 degrees and it is also summer here.
By the way what is the max temp for a CPU?
Tj max differs between CPUs.
I manually set mine to 85C.
My water cooler and custom office AC unit keep everything chill.

I don't know what the max temp is for these chips, I think you would have to overclock really high or just take off the heatsink from the CPU to reach those kind of temps. Most CPUs start thermal throttle much earlier than a GPU, to me I would consider 80c + too high for a CPU and I assume it would start throttling somewhere up there in the 80's and 90's, and shut down the PC above 90. I know GPU's can run a bit hotter safely however.
My set up is Ryzen 2700X, Rx 5700, 16GB 2660 ram, 550 GB ssd,
The issue is born out of the fact the game's engine does not utilize all of the resources one has. As it works well with single threaded world threads
aka in ryzen most of the compute units, as well as the threads are not being used. You have 8, the game does not use any more then 6
Likewise the game does not utalize your whole graphics card. Since your graphics card severely bottlenecks your cpu due to your mother board {or you would list it]
Ryzen is used- specifically the 3rd gen X series is used for large ram requiring applications. This game uses barely 6. Your CPU is built to use 32
Your performance would be similar due to not being used of a system around 600$ USD
eg: I5-9400f, GTX 1660ti, 16GB of 3000 ram, and 500 Gb SSD with a basic motherboard
Is this also the case for i9700k and i9900k?
75 is fine for newer gen Intel chips. I wouldn't run hotter, I set my Tj max to 85.
Thx yep I have the i9900k
Thx, Which CPU do u have?
It’s not a good cpu for gaming either. To be honest I not sure what you would ever use it for. It is so overkill that you would need 3-4 RTX 2080ti to match and use that entire performance
The best gaming CPU’s (assuming you do some streaming)
1) Ryzen 5-3600
2) I5-9600KF
3) I5-9400F
4) Ryzen 7 2700X
5) I7-8700K
With regard to GPUs
1) RX 580
2) RTX 2070 super
3) 5700XT
4) 5700
5) GTX 1660ti
Yeah I think so. i9-9900k/2080Ti ... ~120FPS in game, all medium settings @ 1080p. Call of Duty runs better than this game on my rig.
To be fair it runs well enough to be playable and more, its not esports haha
CPU matters even less at 4k resolution, because the bottleneck is going to be the GPU in any case, unless the CPU is a first gen intel core processor from 2010, or equivalent toaster.
If you're getting 75C during gaming, that's way too hot.
My Ryzen chip doesn't even hit 75C running LinX/IBT during stress testing, on a $30 air cooler, and it's OC'd to close to the maximum frequency I can get it to even post at.
I know those new Intel chips run very hot, which is why people delid them, and run water cooling. At some point, they started putting bird poop under the CPU lids, it's been like this for several gens now, some being worse than others. My old I5 2500k, had a base clock of 3.3ghz, and I OC'd it to 4.4ghz on a $30 cooler master hyper 212+, and its temps were still 50C range during gaming. 2nd gen was the last gen they actually put good thermal under the lids of their chips I believe. People can always pay $50 to get their chip delidded and better thermal put in.
