I have lost majority of interest grinding anything more for MHW. Anyone else feel that way?

I've done all main quests, almost completed all Iceborne side quests, now all that remains is to meta slave master rank kulve taroth weapons and make builds that would work against the upcoming Alatreon. The list is short but it feels as big as the Merriam Webster's dictionary to me; and I have no power left in me to get any of that done.

I stopped farming a good while ago. The cadence of updates is definitely way off, it feels like we should have had new content weeks ago and should already be on the way to what's next. Not even having a release window for Alatreon is really disheartening. There is a lot of good content in Iceborne but I've done it plenty already.

I've been getting my fix from MHGU in the meantime. Deviants in that game are a million times better than the Arch Tempered monsters that will likely make up the majority of new content that isn't Alatreon.

I feel that way too with my main character.

So I decided to gear up my female character that I didn't use since Lunastra was released.

Already MR73 so it's fun to have something to do again that it's not mindless deco grinding.

I too have finished all main quests and side quests for my main character.

Now I am playing Fallout 76 but I am still playing MH every now and then with a new character and using a completely different weapon from my main.

I think there is nothing wrong from playing other games and/or doing other things. You can always come back when Alatreon or some other new update pique your interest.

In fact, I actually stopped playing MHW after finishing everything in the base game too (except hunting for crowns) for about 6 months or so and now I have finished everything in icebourne (except rare pet hunting and crowns).

So, do what is enjoyable to you. Absolutely nothing wrong to take a hiatus on MH. You won't really get too rusty when you are back.

maybe HR 400 where i found out the existence of mods, later cheat table, after ib i found trainer.

my heart broke when i was HR 400 only got 2 artillery (i was cb main). Force me use artillery charm. and i dont have forceshot deco. in a quest i saw 2 player which less that HR 150, they got artillery 3 and the other got complete bow deco.

I google the easiest way to got deco, and nexus strong elder melder appear. But sadly it was outdated. And then i searching on nexus, the one that come out was item shop (not sorted). I try it, when im done, i already bought all ticket that i missed and xeno ticket(not release at that time). all deco, all thing that i demand need, until i ran out of zenny, i sold almost all material, and keep buying things.

after that i make CB meta build with xeno Y, which is console only at that time. I feel strong, no one ever told me if that is bad or i cheat the game. none, i play online most of the time.

after that i found cosmetic, that anime mod with bobies effect, fire emblem xenoverse,,

the downfall is when i found weapon editor and cheat table. All people on my net cafe use that weapon editor, cause of me, around 20-30 player maybe. most of the time we doubled or tripled our weapon damage and 2-4 times def. All run become easy, and we become hero against AT. no one suspect a thing. soon after that, they left the game, why? there is no point, all grind gone, all monster become ez.

I am the one that left. and my mentor which is refuse to cheat the game.

what this threat about again.
yeah if grind is not your thing then dont force yourself to play. You will leave game one way or another.

i grind myself to boring very fast

when iceborne released on pc first week it only took me 9 days to reach MR100

and 1 months and 9 days to MR200

and i already feel bored but thanks to safi introduction i was able to enjoy the game again but i already got most of my main weapon same goes for MR Kulve

AT Nami hype doesn't really last that long, Raging Brachy was fun but after got his 2 pieces of armor,his LS,charm upgrade mats i don't have desire to go back to him again

same goes for Furious Rajang

i mainly play LS,Bow and i tried DB and i could play it to some extent i could solo MR monster no problem but it doesn't make me feel wanna play more

and with Alatreon being push away the games kinda become boring since i have most thing i needed (augmentation mats,deco)

now i'm at MR 376 HR 670+ and i really hope future update wold make me wanna play more

Play another game ! I felt like this 1 month ago , then I switched to Dark Souls 3 and made NG+7 All Bosses No Damage Run ! After getting this in DS III , now MHW feels new to me .

This game has some of the jankiest RNG. Not like Diablo 3, where getting mats was bloody impossible, but with MHW and Iceborne, getting the specific deco the player wants is nigh impossible.

I have YET to get a single Handicraft lev3 jewel. the closest i've gotten is a lev 4 with Handicraft and Free meal. That's it. 1 jewel.

Non-legitimate ways, i.e. the nexus mod that allows players to buy any and all material and decos from the seaside shop (with 4x the sell price) allowed me to get 2 handicraft deco's

Some parts of video games can be so abysmal and infuriating, one has gone through each and every possibl directive given with the same outcome or the undesired outcome. I mean, I'm not gonna spend another 4 weeks farming the name's Lavasioth, Greatest jagras, or the Master rank equivalent of the deco farm quest

It gets tiring.

yeah i cheat, i dont feel bad at all. still cheat until now, 1700hours and going, my species is rare though.

right now what i do to enjoy the games is investigation. With investigation editor i make mix quest.

example, tempered, rajang, seething b52, stygian. faint 5, 4 player, 5 purple box. additional Health lv5, attack lv1, def 5.

or if i want to see cart fest, i will adjust attack lvl5, with 5 faint.

i will then sos. normally 3 monster take us 20-25minutes. thats how i enjoying the game right now.

other is, scarred yian+yian+tempered rathalos. Or tempered, narga+zinogre+legiana. temp diablos+black diablos with attack lv5.

before augment lvl 20, i used to mutiply my armor 1,2-2 times. but now i dont use it anymore. because i think its not needed.

Yup. I stopped playing awhile ago and moved on to other games. I will return once Al does.
